Have you visited Hawaii in the last ten years?

Oh, Hawaii. There’s no other state like it. It would be hard to argue that there’s a more beautiful state. (Oh, come on. Have you seen those beaches?!) Have you ever been to Hawaii?

Have you visited Hawaii within the last 10 years? If so, more than once or just once? Never?

If you’ve never been to Hawaii, we suggest you park your RV somewhere for a week and fly on over to one of the beautiful islands. Doesn’t that sound nice?

No, but 30 years ago and wasn’t impressed then. The American Samoes I thought were much better.

Agreed, it was much more impressive before the U.S. stole it from the Hawaiian people.

Re-enlisted on the Deck of the USS Hancock CV-19 in March of 75 in Pearl Harbor with the USS Arizona Memorial in the background. Next stop was the evacuations of Cambodia and Viet Nam. Haven’t been back since.

Was there in 1969. Going back next month with my wonderful and generous daughter who is taking me on a cruise to the Hawaiian Islands.

The only time I was in Hawaii was when our plane made a fuel stop at 1AM on my way to Vietnam. Didn’t get to see much except the lights during landing and take off. Airport terminal was even closed..

We use the Hawaiian Islands as our “vacation” spot since we can’t drive to it! We usually go to one or two of the islands every other year for one or two weeks, it’s a great break from driving & camping; nice to be waited on, etc.

We’ve been five times in the last 30 years. The first time we only visited Kauai. We were so taken by it (aka, the Garden Isle) that we visited it again each time we returned to Hawaii. We’d first spend 5 or 6 days on another island (Maui, Lanai, or Hawaii (aka, the Big Island)) and then go to Kauai for a week. There is so much to see on the Big Island that we have visited it twice. However, Kauai remains our favorite.

I haven’t been but my partner has years ago. Beautiful beaches really don’t interest me. I’m not taking it off the list but at the moment we’re enjoying RVing.

Maui, not sure I’d ever go back to be honest. Fun trip, but just ehh.

The only reason is because our kids live there. But I won’t be going back. Matter of fact, I won’t be going anywhere ever again if I have to fly to get there. No more of that mess.

Visited in 2015 with my cousin, she absolutely loved Hawaii. DW and I not so much, it was ok but very expensive and we enjoy home much better. Like Kevin said below, ehh.

We were stationed there for three years back in the late 90’s. Great place to visit but was ready to get off that rock by the time our tour was up!
