“Amazon has taken over the world” seems like a pretty fair statement to make, wouldn’t you agree? Even if you’re not a regular Amazon shopper, you surely know someone close to you who is (and that could include your campground neighbor!).
The company has revolutionized the way we shop, making nearly any product imaginable just a few clicks away. Whether it’s something as basic as toilet paper or as niche as a specific RV part, Amazon has made it all accessible at the drop of a hat. And for many of us, that convenience has become addictive—there’s a certain comfort in knowing you can solve most problems with a quick order. If you’re on the road in an RV, Amazon can feel like an indispensable lifeline
How often do you shop on Amazon? Do you order something daily? Once or twice a week? Once a month? Never?

Living in semi rural America, if the Big Box stores do not carry a product you need, Amazon is your next stop.
Semi or outright rural: Local shopping has devolved into only essential or commodity items. In too many cases what I want simply isn’t available. Some local merchants will offer to get it for you using suppliers that sell ‘wholesale’ to the merchant for already at or more than I can order the item myself. I don’t always buy from Amazon, but there are times Amazon is either ridiculously less expensive for the identical (not just similar) item or they can get it to me literally weeks before anyone else.
I do shop Amazon but I also use Amazon to check for product reviews on a item I am thinking of buying from another source.
I ‘shop’ on Amazon, but very seldom buy there. Most of their merchandise is foreign knockoffs and problems with warranty coverage or returns.
I’ve found that the name brand stuff is more expensive than buying from other retailers or directly from the company. Even with Prime delivery I save some money buying direct. A lot of these companies offer free delivery, though it may take a few days more longer.
I look frequently for prices, reviews, etc. I buy something every few months.
When we leave our S&B for our months long travels, Amazon puts our pictures on milk cartons and files a missing persons report.

Mostly I buy things l used to buy at Sears and JC Penney, like clothes, bedding, towels, etc. All the department stores near me have gone out of business.
Only when I need something not on want. Otherwise it can get out of hand.
Amazon Lockers are an RV’ers best friend. The convenience is amazing if your purchase can fit in a locker. No more worrying if a location will accept packages. You can have an order shipped to your next stop and you have 3 days to pick it up once delivered. Free return if not.
Had a park employee in Hoodsport, Washington try to steal a package by saying it wasn’t delivered. After I made a trip to the Post Office who provided record that the package was indeed picked up by park staff, she miraculously regained her memory. That right there furthered my appreciation on the security of Amazon Lockers.

Yes I do Often but NOT before Covid 19! Seems if was far safer to have something delivered to your door than risking getting Covid.

Shopping doesn’t always mean purchasing. My husband puts things on his Amazon wish list and they usually drop in price. He checks in every day and shops so much more than I do
I try not to buy on Amazon but sometimes it just can’t be avoided.
Amazon manipulates prices like oil and gas companies do…yet they say they don’t. Beee-esss.
I live in a small, rural town. The nearest area with a Wal-mart is 40 minutes away. I do a lot of Amazon shopping because of my location and also because I don’t like to go shopping.
I also shop on Amazon for my in-laws who are housebound and often need lots of things that even the “local” Wal-mart doesn’t have.
