What do you call a bunch of parachuting nudists? In descent.
Have you ever stayed at a nudist resort with your RV? And no, we’re not talking about visiting a nudist beach or spa or anything like that; we’re talking about actually staying at a nudist RV resort or RV park. (And yes, they exist!)
If you have never stayed at one, would you? Does the idea of shedding your clothes and camping out in nature’s glory sound liberating, or is it a hard pass? For some, it’s a bucket-list adventure, while others may prefer to keep their campground attire firmly in place.
Nudist RV resorts have gained popularity over the years by offering unique amenities like heated pools, hot tubs, and even communal dining, all sans clothing. Those who have stayed at one often rave about the laid-back, judgment-free atmosphere. But for others, the thought of living that freely is outside their comfort zone.
We’d love to hear your thoughts! After you respond to the poll, feel free to leave a comment. We gotta admit… we’re curious!

Indifferent is my choice.
AAAAAAARGH!!! That’s all I have to say.
Probably not our 1st choice, but might if the location and price was right. Remember, clothing is optional. Doesn’t mean WE have to let it all hang out to sun burn! 🙂
Nah, I don’t understand the draw or the endorphin rush from exhibitionism. Ask me to drain waste tanks on the other hand and I get giddy….
It’s not exhibitionism, but rather feeling free.
Is that it? I never conflated freedom with the degree of exposure of one’s genitalia so maybe that’s what confuses me. Now if you ask me if boondocking exemplifies freedom, I’m all in! Safe travels and mind the mosquitoes Michael….LOL
Interesting. Those few who said yes, have no comments. Curious what their mindset was and age when done.
I’ve been to a nudist colony once. It was to move a couple’s trailer. At 35 degrees F there was nothing to see. As Dana says: “AAAAAAARGH!!!”
My wife and I could never do that, we’re clothes minded.
Best comment 🤣
love it, right with you on that….sunshine should not see certain parts of this body
Have spent the day with family at nude camps, but never overnight.
Lord have mercy! No, no, no!
🤣🤣🤣 My thoughts exactly, Diane! Have a great day! 😀 –The other Diane M (at RVtravel.com)
We have visited a nudist beach when the regular beach was closed. I can think of few less-appealing sights than most of us would make parading around naked.
There is a nudist campground near us. I have never been there, but I know at one time, there was a waiting list to get in. I hear it is a nice campground. There are a lot of people that live there year round in their RV’s.
Don’t knock it if you havent tried it…Most people have the wrong idea about …
I would, DW would not.
Guy stayed at a nudist resort
he said the first two days were the hardest
To delete… not to delete.🤔 That is the question.🤣 Have a good night, Thomas. 😀 -🙈Diane at RVtravel.com
Yes, I have stayed at rv resorts in Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Florida, and Arizona. There are many reasons to stay at Clothing Optional resorts.
1. Frequently they charge less, with the same or better amenities.
2. Naturists and Nudists are the friendliest group of people you will find.
3. You never have to worry about putting on a wet swimming suit to take a dip.
4. There is no body judgement. We are all imperfect, it is just accepted.
I could go on, but I don’t think my comments will change any minds.
If you are curious, try it.
Once taught a class thru the health department in Fla on fungal and yeast infection transmission at a nudist camp. Definitely an experience and everyone there who attended class was over 50! Not fantasy material!!
Eww. I’m squeamish looking at large, out of shape humans even with their clothes on.
I moved into a nudist resort to save money for parking my new RV before I took off cross country. I never took off cross country because I had so much fun living there! Stayed for 8 years. People are friendly there are no masks. You can be talking to a millionaire or a pauper and not know it. It is a true equalizer. Great for self esteem. No judgment. Also, I never felt safer than when I was living there because there was a staffed gate. And since people are afraid of seeing other people naked, I didn’t have to worry about crime because robbers don’t want to see that, LOL! I moved in at 58yrs and moved out at 65. by far my favorite RV experience.
My wife and I have been visiting AANR (American Association for Nude Recreation) Family friendly nudists campgrounds for over 25 years in our RV, We are currently staying at Shangri La Ranch in New River AZ. We have met the most wonderful down to earth folks in our nudist travels. We go out of our way driving across the country to stay at an AANR campground. Don’t knock it until you try it.
