Dear Mike,
Would you be available to teach an RV Electricity seminar at (Insert the name and place of your rally)? We really need your help out here!
Hopeless in Hope, KS
Dear Hopeless,
I’m trying my best to teach at as many RV trade shows and seminars as possible in 2019, but sponsorship support has been pretty thin so far. Below is a list of my confirmed rallies and shows, and I’ll try to add a few more that fit into my work schedule. But remember that I’m in “soft” retirement, which means I’m still taking on paying jobs so I can afford to have fun teaching electrical safety. It’s not cheap to fly me and several hundred pounds of seminar gear across the country, which is why I’m being careful as to how many seminars I’m committing to in 2019.
Note that Chuck Woodbury and I are now offering advanced 3-hour RV Electricity clinics plus an additional 1 hour of Q&A time in Hershey, PA for 2019. We’ll have to charge a modest sum for those 3-hour classes, but I know you’ll learn a ton of electrical troubleshooting techniques. And I’ll continue to offer my free 60- and 90-minute basic RV Electricity seminars wherever I’m invited (and can afford to make the trip).
So don’t give up hope, Hopeless… I could be coming to a town near you very soon. In the meantime keep reading my RV Electricity articles and watching my videos.

Hi Mike,
Can you recommend a good RV Solar Installation book? Thanks
Hello Mike,
I bought your fantastic book “ No~Shock~Zone RV Electrical Safety“ back in July of ‘18. Great reads to be sure. While I noticed that a great deal of the book is covered on your website, for me I find it handy to have it in ol skool book form… anyhows excellent info found in it and I do highly recommend it. I’m curious as to if and when you will publish another updated version of it ?
where and when is the seminar in Enumclaw, WA, for 2019? Would love to attend since I live in WA
Sorry….just found the schedule. It didn’t show up when I first opened this page. Hope to see you in Aug!
Chuck has promised me a good time in Enumclaw, but I’m not sure what that means.
Leon, the date is tentative. We have not yet finalized plans. Will do so in a couple of weeks. We may need to hold it in a nearby location. Stay tuned.
Chuck, way above in this column I see in red the Enumclaw Expo is cancelled. I see your comment 20 days ago that it is tentative. Mike’s seminars are the main reason I would take RV from Summer storage, a Snowbiurd, and drive 350 miles to attend the Expo. I’m sure the rest of the show will be a bonus.
.
I do hope the Expo is a go.
Steve, thanks for your interest in my seminars. Since I’m all the way on the east coast in Maryland, and Chuck is in Seattle (just a stone’s throw from Enumclaw, he’s the one who has to sort out of the logistics for presenting my RV Electricity seminar at this Expo. With manufacturer sponsorship nearly anything is possible, but the RV industry claims to have little or no money to provide this type of important training for their customers. However, I think it would be money well spent which is why Chuck and I continue to brainstorm on how to afford to put on these seminars. Any ideas are welcome.
