As an RVer who rarely stays in RV parks, I never really understood the specific need for an RV sewer hose support. I usually pull in, dump my tanks, and head on my way. But after staying in one place for several months, I am finally understanding why so many RVers swear by them.
My only previous experience with an RV sewer hose support was an ancient Slunky model the previous owner left in my used travel trailer. It was missing the instructions and several of the clips had vanished into the great campground beyond. I never did figure out how it was supposed to go together. Even when I did manage to wrestle it into somewhat submission, the channels were so shallow that the hose kept popping out.
After a few choice words that probably shouldn’t be printed here, on more than one occasion, I decided it was WAY more trouble than what it was worth. The old Slunky earned a one-way trip to the trash bin.
The Kohree RV sewer hose support couldn’t be more different.
All of the problems disappeared as soon as I took the Kohree RV sewer hose support out of the box. For starters, there are no clips or separate pieces to assemble or lose. Everything is built into a single unit. Simply unfold it to the length you need, position your sewer hose, and you’re ready to dump.
What impressed me most is the thoughtful design. The hose sits securely in deep U-shaped channels, so it stays exactly where it’s supposed to instead of constantly jumping out of the support.
What I especially like about the Kohree RV sewer hose support
• It is ready to use right out of the box—no assembly whatsoever required. Simply unfold the gate-like panels to the length you need.
• Once you’ve finished dumping or are ready to move from a campground, it is just as quick and easy to fold it back up.
• The flexible accordion design can be easily adjusted in direction to curve around any obstacles.
• It is lightweight yet sturdy. The hinge and sections feature solid construction and do not easily break.
• Comes with a convenient carrying strap that holds everything together when not in use.
• It all fits in a small box that also has a convenient carrying handle.
• The bright orange color stands out, which helps to prevent tripping or having your sewer hose accidentally stepped on.
• Features a deep U-shaped design, providing excellent support and stability that prevents sagging or leaking. The sewer hose stays firmly in place, even during drainage.
• Kohree recently upgraded the design to have a steeper slope, which allows for quicker and more efficient dumping of wastewater. It really helps!
• Since it is a new product to me, I cannot yet personally attest to longevity. However, I was impressed that, unlike other brands that use plastic, which breaks easily and is subject to sun wear, the Kohree RV sewer hose support is made of sturdy polypropylene materials. This should mean longer-lasting use.
• Fits up to a 20-foot RV waste hose and works with all 3-inch diameter hoses.
If you’ve been putting off buying an RV sewer hose support because you’ve had a bad experience with an older design like I did, the Kohree may change your mind. It’s simple, sturdy, easy to use, and does exactly what it’s supposed to do—keeping your sewer hose properly supported so wastewater drains efficiently and cleanly.
