Tiffin recalls motorhomes for engine stall danger

Tiffin Motorhomes, Inc. (Tiffin) is recalling certain 2024 Convoy, 2023-2026 GH1, 2025 GT1, and 2026 GH2 motorhomes equipped with 2.0 liter engine. The secondary alternator controller programming was not properly updated.

Improper programming can cause the engine to stall, increasing the risk of a crash, which can lead to injury or worse. As many as 418 RVs may be affected by the recall, which was issued July 24, 2025.

Remedy
Dealers will install a wire harness and update the alternator programming, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed September 19, 2025. Owners may contact Tiffin customer service at 1-256-356-8661. Tiffin’s number for this recall is TIF-145.

Thank you for the timely news, RV Travel! Had no idea that Tiffin made an RV with this name. Must be smallish if has a 2-liter engine. Wow! Also must take some high-level engineering to get enough power from 2 liters to pull an RV down the highway. Have a great weekend and safe travels!

I agree with Neal Davis. I’ve owned motorcycles with engines bigger than 2.0 liters!

Wow! AI says this:
The 2024 Tiffin Convoy is equipped with a diesel engine. More specifically, it features a 2.0L 4- Cylinder Twin Scroll Turbo diesel engine with 208 horsepower and 332 lb-ft of torque.

Well, I guess that’s enough for Class C Van.
