Limited edition 2024 Cirrus 820 truck camper looks good

If you are in the market for a hard-side, non-slide truck camper for your 3/4-ton or 1-ton short-bed truck, consider the 2024 Cirrus 820 by nüCamp. The video below from Princess Craft RV gives us a tour of the limited edition model. While only 15 of these were made, the differences are primarily in the color and aesthetics, so the rest will be like any other Cirrus 820.

I love how nüCamp designs its truck campers. When you walk in it looks so open and airy. I also especially love the skylight window over the main bed, and all the large windows all around the camper. They also designed this camper so that everything you need is within easy reach.

The kitchen features a large farmhouse-style sink, a two-burner stove, and a convection microwave. The space is well-designed with a bright LED light right over the kitchen. I also like the handy spice shelf above the kitchen window.

There is plenty of storage throughout, including a hanging closet and under-dinette storage.

I was surprised to see a porcelain toilet in the wet bath.

And I have always LOVED nüCamp’s molded doors with the built-in trash cans and storage cubbies. All RVs should have these!

What’s not to like?

I wish the fridge were larger, but then again I am a big-time foodie. For the average family on a camping trip, it would probably be fine.

I have to say that on video I like pretty much everything about nüCamp’s Cirrus campers.  On video? Yes. I got to tour one in person a few months back and was not as impressed as I had been on video. Things were just not as solid and well-made as I had hoped. But then again, one of the company’s goals is to keep the weight low. It wasn’t anything serious, but the campers do present slightly better on tape than in person.

Thank you, Cheri! 🙂 Interesting that an in-person tour left you less impressed than the video version. Perhaps because your eyes could wander in the former situation. Alternately, the video precludes that ability, only offering you what the one making the video allows you to see. Naively, I expected a slightly lower MSRP. May I infer higher quality relative to competitors from the MSRP, or is this just where truck camper prices are? Thanks again, have a great day, safe travels, and safe stays! 🙂
