Tour the 2024 Crossroads RV Zinger Lite ZR18QB travel trailer—some questionable features

In the video below from J and A Review, we tour a travel trailer with a unique floor plan, the 2024 Crossroads RV Zinger Lite ZR18QB.

This is a simple, fairly barebones trailer. There are no slides—so no slides to break. That’s a good thing in my book.

For a smaller trailer, I was impressed with the large-size pass-through storage. On the other hand, with a cargo carrying capacity of 934 pounds, you are going to have to be super careful how much you put in it.

Inside there is a camper queen-sized bed in the front of the rig. I like the storage cabinets right inside the door for shoes or other outdoor wear.

The bathroom sits opposite the front door, leaving the middle for the kitchen, and a rear living and lounge area that also converts to sleep space.

It is a dry bath with an adequate-sized shower and a vent strategically placed to provide extra headspace.

The back features three bunk beds surrounding a jackknife sofa that provides seating or sleeping. This area also houses a dining table.

What’s not to like?

Buckle up—There’s a lot not to like in this one.

  • At 934 pounds, the cargo-carrying capacity is on the light side.
  • A larger fresh water tank would have been nice. As it stands, you have less fresh water than gray or black.
  • The awning looks super small in relation to the size of the trailer. Weird.
  • The shelf in the front bedroom is useless unless you never plan to move. Cabinets or even netted storage cubbies would have been far preferable.
  • Again, the storage space above the fridge is useless unless you never plan to move.
  • There is no oven, if that matters to you. It would to me. There is a microwave, though.
  • The refrigerator has no freezer space at all—not even a tiny one for some ice cube trays.
  • The fireplace-style heater is a nice touch, but its position under the kitchen sink seems strange to me.

My five-star rating is for a good article, not the trailer!

This has to be the poorest floor plan in trailer design history! Fireplace faces the bathroom wall? The kitchen is in two rooms? Good grief. Couch in the bunk room?
