In the video below from Camping Coastie, we get a tour of the all-new Embassy Cape Cod Class B+ motorhome. (Let the comment controversy begin over what constitutes a Class B as opposed to Class C, and if there even is such a thing as a Class B+. But since that’s what Embassy calls it, that’s what I am going with.) It is WAY bigger than a typical Class B but lacks the overhead sleeping quarters of a Class C.
This walk-through is a tad limited in details. The motorhome was just released and the video was shot at an Embassy RV rally.
The body and main living structure of the Embassy Cape Cod feature a modern composite design, no wood at all. You won’t find any propane on board, either. But the RV is nonetheless well-powered with a 920AH lithium-ion battery and a 3500W/7000W peak inverter/charger.
The size of the LARGE pass-through storage area surprised me. You can store plenty of extra gear here, something lacking in many Class B’s.
Roomy inside the Embassy Cape Cod
Once inside there is plenty of room for both the driver’s and passenger’s seats to completely swivel around, which opens up the living area and provides comfortable seating. I like the interior design, which features a lot of black and gray subway tiles.
The kitchen counter design allows you to flip up additional counter space when needed, but increase living space when down. The flat sink cover also makes additional counter space. The large slide-out pantry will store a lot of food, as will the respectable-sized 12-volt refrigerator/freezer.
The shower in the wet bath is bigger than expected, probably because the cassette toilet stows away when not in use.
The back bedroom is like those in larger motorhomes—with twin beds and plenty of storage. (I am guessing there will also be a single-bed option, but, again, this motorhome is brand-new.)
The 360-degree camera system is awesome, as you can check out what’s going on outside any time you hear a noise (or whenever). After watching a recent video from Robin Barrett of Creativity RV about a strange dude at her door, something like this is invaluable and I hope we see more of it.

What’s not to like?
I did not see any hanging wardrobe space. Open shelves, like the one by the front door, make no sense in RVs as far as I am concerned. RVers don’t need “decorative” storage, they need functional storage.
Also, I always object to having larger gray water tanks than fresh—so reverse those, please!
Of course, like all Class B’s (and B+’s), it is pricey. But you do get a lot and as always, price is relative.

Wow, the TV is in front of the kitchen window. Wondering if that enhances the view? NOT
For as beautiful as this rig looks on the outside, it presents as pretty ‘pedestrian’ on the inside. As Bob mentioned, I didn’t see a stove either. Microwaving is the only way to cook in this rig? Cramped space to use the cassette toilet? No room to hang jackets or non-folding clothes? It looks like the designers of this motorhome are not RV’ers. A no-go for me.

I suppose they’d rather have something that is apparently nimble, yet not so small that they have to forego any aspects of self-containment. I doubt that the designer of the motorhome has ever dumped a cassette toilet. BTDT, give me a black tank and don’t try to save a few bucks in construction costs.

FYI. Not a cassette toilet. Choice of Laveo Dry Flush or Separett. We have a Laveo in our Class B and love it. Regarding cooktop, all Embassy RVs come with a portable induction cooktop so you can choose to use it indoors or outside.
