Feature-packed EPIK Scout off-road camper fits in garage

In the video below, we join Marissa from Adventure Series RV and Patrick from New Jersey Outdoor Adventures, who give us a walk-through tour of what they call THE most capable 6X12 camper trailer they have ever seen, the EPIK Scout. It’s made by Adventure Series RV.

This compact trailer will fit in most garages, as the height is under 8’ with the pop-top down. Yet it features a rear kitchen, a large slide-out, and a pop-up roof for extra headspace and sleeping space.

For food prep, there’s an exterior side slide-out kitchen with a sink, a Dometic™ 75L dual zone fridge/freezer, and a Cook Partner™ aluminum dual burner stove. The back of the trailer opens up, as well, to reveal lots more storage for kitchen items or anything else you might want to take along. I like the pass-through port from inside the trailer direct through to the back hatch area. Or at least I think I do. I wonder how often this would really get used…

While there is no bathroom, you do have an outdoor shower. There is a surprisingly large amount of storage throughout the camper.

I love the little dinette or worktable that stows away when not in use. I also like that the slide is manual, meaning there are no mechanics on it to break.

A “camper queen” bed fills the slide room. The slide adds a lot of interior space, but you can use the camper and stealth camp with the slide retracted.

Additional inside seating converts to an additional bed, plus, two adults can sleep in the pop-top bed that can be accessed from inside or outside the camper.

Outside, the innovative OVS 270-degree awning is awesome, shading the side and the back area of the trailer, including the entire cooking area. Watch the video to see this in action.

What’s not to like?

I was impressed with almost everything about this trailer, especially the sturdy construction. However, it lacks a toilet. That’s a deal breaker for me, although there are easy workarounds. They recommend you use a portable or composting toilet in a pop-up tent outside. This post compares some good options for portable toilets.

“You can all sit around and have dinner”. As long as “all” means one, maybe two people. Again, this looks like a fun one or two (max) person trailer. Never mind sleeping four or five. I wonder how that awning works when you get a breeze a-blowing

Thank you, Cheri! 🙂 Flexibility has value (more to some than others), but $51,000 seems a high price to pay for it. 🤔 Thanks for finding another ususual RV that fits a niche. 🙂 Have a great day and safe travels! 🙂
