Join Robert Hyman of Tall Man’s RV Reviews for a tour of the new Lance 1875 4-seasons travel trailer.
I will put in the disclaimer that Robert is not the best video host and he could really benefit from some public speaking lessons. (I would advise joining a local Toastmasters chapter if he plans to continue this career path.) His habit of saying “OK” every other word drove me crazy!
Nonetheless, I did want to see the new Lance 1875 travel trailer that took their popular 1575 model and gave it some big upgrades like a bigger bathroom, queen-sized bed, and a HUGE smart TV. (My suggestion to you is to watch the tour with the sound off.)
This trailer, with its well-insulated walls, ceiling, floors, and doors, is solidly built. And I do love the little details that Lance thinks of and includes, such as the shoe-cleaning brushes built into the step. How smart is that?
Build quality aside, however, I found myself lukewarm on the decor and layout. Other features were less than desirable, too.
Our host thinks the huge 42-inch TV is a big selling point. Sure, it is unusual in a small trailer like this, but who really needs it?
It’s nice that there is a queen-sized bed in the front and I do like the way it functions. However, I don’t like how the folded-up mattress is on display when not in use. Can you say U-G-L-Y?
The kitchen features solid surface countertops, a 3-burner stove, oven, microwave oven, and a 5-cubic-foot Norcold two-way refrigerator. The single kitchen sink, while deep, does not appear all that large. But I do love the large U-shaped dinette that takes up the slide. Although if you’re tall, you are not going to like it because head space here is severely lacking.
The bathroom is large enough for 6’4” tall Robert to sit with the door closed. But if you’re short, that raised-up toilet is going to be a little weird.
The shower is just big enough with the vent centered over it, but I wholeheartedly agree with Robert that the positioning of the built-in molded soap dish is in the way. How that made it past the committee is beyond me.
More nice features of the Lance 1875
- MORryde pull-out drawer in the pass-through storage area
- The awning runs almost the entire length of the trailer
- Goodyear tires on double axles
- Electric stabilization jacks
- JBL sound system
- Fireplace
Overall, I was a little surprised at this trailer because I expected to like it a lot more than I did. Sure, there were some nice features; but there were also a fair amount of dumb ones. And the overall decor and colors were so dull it is just begging for some style. Aside from the bathroom sink, there’s little to no decor, to the point where this one high-fashion element looks completely out of place with the rest of the rig.
While Lance may build solid, quality RVs, in my opinion, they seriously need to hire some new interior designers.

I was kinda liking this trailer – until I saw the price. Holy cow! And that was for last year’s model.
The slide-out storage drawer definitely cuts down on storage. I have a similar setup in my pickup and it’s a double-edged sword. Easy to get stuff out, but not as much room as without it. Don’t like the single bowl kitchen sink. YouTubers did not like the funny-bone-bashing lip in the shower – and I wouldn’t either. I like the entry stairs. Not the one-piece fold-up style. The oven looked like the size Tony touts. But why did they ‘hide’ the microwave?
Too rich for my blood!
Hard to be sure, but from the floor plan it doesn’t look like the bathroom is accessible with the slide in.
That’s what I think. A deal breaker IMHO.
81K. Wow.
