The short video below from Cooking at Pam’s Place demonstrates an ingenious foil-lined baking pan hack. I predict once you see this, you’ll never do it any other way. It takes just seconds but can save you lots of cooking mess.
Lining baking pans with foil before adding ingredients makes sense in a lot of instances for RVers, especially boondockers. That’s because it saves significantly on the amount of water you will use to clean up after baking the dish. However, if you do it incorrectly, you can end up wasting a lot of foil. Not so with Pam’s foil-lined baking pan tip.
Watch the video to see how it’s done.
Start by turning the baking pan upside-down to measure off just the right amount of foil. This position also lets you tightly fashion the pan lining around the pan instead of inside of it.
Once you have created the liner, simply lift it off the bottom of the pan, turn the pan over, put the lining into the pan, and you are ready to start cooking. Smart!

Hey, a cool idea!
Thank you, Cheri! 🙂 Great idea! Have a great day and safe travels!
Good idea, but I like to wrap the foil over the rim of the pan so nothing accidentally gets into the pan.
