Five gallon buckets are handy items to have around a campsite or RV. But when they get stuck when stacked together they can be a big pain in the you-know-where. Well, the video below from Homestead DIY will change that, as they show us how to separate buckets quickly and easily.
So what’s the trick? Use a small air compressor, something most RVers have anyway (and if you don’t have one, you probably should). A little puff of air sprayed into the lip between buckets and like magic, they simply come apart. Watch the video because it’s hard to believe how well this works until you see it in action.
If the buckets are stuck super tightly, a screwdriver to pry enough space to fit the air muzzle in will do the trick.
Wow! Genius! Who knew that a little bit of compressed air between the buckets makes them come right apart?

Thanks. That is a handy tip.
Cheri! Where were you with this tip last week? The buckets I wanted to use are still stuck together. I will try this today!
Thanks for the tip! I’d wear EYE PROTECTION people
Thank you, Cheri! I’ll try this the next time that I have this problem. Right now we have too few buckets to stack any. Safe travels! 🙂
Cheri, WOW! Thank you! Now I am wondering how I could have spent decades of being stupid. I have ruined buckets, fingernails and my vocabulary over plastic buckets.
