In the video above from Airstream of DFW, we join Anthony Miller for a tour of one of Airstream’s larger trailers, the 2024 Airstream International 30RB. The one in the video is model RBT, meaning twin beds in the rear bedroom, but the 2024 Airstream International 30RB is also available with a single queen-sized bed. However, the twin bed model gets you two extra storage closets.
As I am partial to Airstreams and the center bath, rear bedroom is my favorite of all RV layouts, I fell in love with this one. (I once owned a 1977 28-foot version of this trailer.)
The light-colored wood, aluminum, and pale blue aesthetics almost give this trailer a contemporary beachy feel that’s mighty appealing.
The front L-shaped lounge makes a comfortable place for lounging, dining, or sleeping at night. You’ll find a lot of storage space both behind and under the sofa. There’s also a small dinette opposite the kitchen that makes into another bed.
You have the option in the kitchen to order the trailer with a standard gas oven or a convection microwave with a built-in air fryer. Other kitchen features include a stainless steel, farmhouse-style sink, slide-out pantry, 3-burner cooktop, and a 10-cubic-foot 12-volt compressor-style refrigerator/freezer.
A large wardrobe closet lines the way to the rear bedroom along with a split bath. Our host is 6’2” tall, and he can easily stand in the shower.

What’s not to like?
While this trailer has an extra small exterior storage compartment over other models, the exterior storage on most Airstreams, including this one, is lacking. Yes, there are four exterior storage compartments, but they are small with the exception of the back, and none are pass-through.
Aside from that, I don’t have a lot to complain about with this trailer, and I know I could be happy in one as I have been in the past with far fewer amenities than we have today.

Thank you, Cheri! 🙂 Very nice and expensive. But if the expense keeps it out of the shop, then it may be money well spent. I liked the addition of bins in the inside storage areas. They certainly make whatever is stored there much more easily accessed. All the outside storage is short and shallow. What gets stored there? Folding camp chairs in bags? Thanks for sharing this Cheri! 🙂 Safe travels! 🙂
Sheet metal aluminum craftsmanship is what Airstream is noted for-and that is pricey. But who cannot appreciate these fantastic modern day covered wagons !
(Neal D. please note I meant my comment to show up as a group comment to Cheri’s fine article. It is not intended to be a direct reply to your own very nice post !)
Hi Henry! 🙂 No offense taken. 🙂 Yes, they certainly use some expensive components and processes to craft an Airstream. In this day and age, I don’t think any RV is overbuilt, but some are built better than others. Hopefully Thor and Airstream’s management continue to allow the line workers to construct a fine product. Safe travels, Henry! 🙂
“What’s not to like?” The backwards opening door at the front of the unit. Remember the young lady that got killed recently while riding in an airstream? She opened that same style door and the wind caught the door and forcefully pulled it open and she was ejected. Yes, she shouldn’t have been riding inside while traveling but some states allow that.
For $140,000.00 dollars I would think that you would at least get enough outside storage for two lawn chairs and a barbecue. Also, with a 17 gallon black water tank, I didn’t hear about a 2″ receiver hitch for a porta potty that you would need to take with you for boondocking.
Cheri, a $140,000 trailer is so out of character for you. I’m smiling as I write this . . .
I don’t make the prices Tommy, they are what they are.
I think he was speaking tongue-in-cheek Cheri
STARTING at $140k? Plus tax and license?
Not me!
I’ll buy a “regular” trailer for a TINY fraction of that and enjoy the same comfort, far better storage, and all the earnings from the money I save (and it will be A LOT!). Actually, I’d even buy that “regular” trailer used….let the original owner take the initial depreciation hit!
Of course, my “regular” trailer will not have the snob appeal of the Airstream that some people have to have…..
The non-slide factor and the price are just enough to keep these out of consideration.
I guess the re-sale value is a major part of the investment in a depreciating liability – like Rv’s. There is the quality of the build and the reputation for excellence factor too. $140 grand – and no engine or transmission – WOW!
A lot of money for a TT with small tanks and small exterior storage.
