In the video below we join one of our readers’ favorite RV YouTube vloggers, Josh the RV Nerd, from Bish’s RV, for a tour of the small but mighty travel trailer, the Imagine Aim 14MS by Grand Design. Josh says he has been working in the RV industry for over 15 years, but he’s never seen a travel trailer quite like the Imagine Aim 14MS before.
I concur and am truly impressed. Good things do come in small packages! Despite the items in the “what’s not to like” section, this is the most functional and well-equipped tiny trailer I have seen.
Why? This teeny travel trailer has an unusual floor plan that manages to pack all the camping essentials into its lightweight, minuscule package.
That’s because in the daytime, the Murphy bed, situated in the slide room, goes entirely away, leaving you living, kitchen, and dining space. Another nice feature that I have never seen before is a large storage space hidden in the slide room under the bed.
I like the extended counter in the kitchen that can also be used as a dining space. Overall, this tiny trailer has more counter space than my 26-foot travel trailer does.
The kitchen also features a huge farm-style sink, a 2-burner cooktop, and a convection microwave. The 12-volt compressor fridge and freezer are also impressively large, something normally not seen in tiny rigs like this.
The bathroom, especially for a micro trailer, is large. Surprisingly, it is a dry bath, something unheard of in trailers this small. You have six-and-a-half feet of clearance in the shower, and enough room to comfortably sit on the toilet.
Even with the slide retracted, you can still get to all parts of the rig. Josh even managed to get the Murphy bed down with the slide in. However, he adds the caveat that it is not recommended you use slide rooms with the slides retracted.

What’s not to like?
The cargo-carrying capacity is low but, then again, this is a tiny trailer. I’m not personally a big fan of 12-volt refrigerators unless you are carrying far more solar than this trailer comes with.
In my opinion, the biggest thing not to like is that there are two separate drains for gray water and black water—they don’t both come out of the same pipe. Apparently, the designers had no choice in order to get it to fit in such a small space and not hit the axles.
Nonetheless, all negatives aside, I remain impressed by everything this tiny trailer has to offer.

Schwintec slide is the deal killer!
Agree
I have a class B with 12v frig and separate G & B tanks. 12v frig works great off of solar in my rig. Having separate gray and black drains is beneficial for the fact that there is no cross contamination. I dump my gray in my driveway because it’s not black tank contaminated.
I have never worried about cross contamination of the drain. I like to have two tanks, but one drain is certainly more convenient. I did once own an RV where gray and black water all went into a single holding tank. I hated that system and it would be a deal breaker for me on any future rigs.
It would also be a pain draining two separate lines when pouring rain. Like I occasionally get stuck doing.
Just because it’s smaller does not make the brand any better.
You are correct on that!
Would a torsion bar suspension really be that much more expensive than that Model T-vintage leaf spring suspension?
I have more in my 21′ Gulfstream 189DD. GVWR 3,850 with 854 pounds cargo. Maybe only 750 pounds less than the Imagine Aim 14MS, but that’s a lot if you plan to tow with a smaller vehicle [which I expect most small TT purchasers intend on doing]
Thank you, Cheri! Pretty nice little package. 🙂
