Baked Stuffed Brussels Sprouts w/Bacon & Cheeses

by Wendy Ann Stauffer from Bridgewater, MA

Serve these baked stuffed Brussels sprouts with bacon and cheese, and everyone will devour their veggies. The outside of the Brussels sprouts get slightly crisp, and the inside stays soft. They’re stuffed with garlic, chopped bacon, mozzarella and Parmesan cheese, bread crumbs, and tiny bits of Brussels sprouts. The combination of cheeses, along with smoky bacon bits, adds tons of flavor. They’re an unusual appetizer or side dish, and you’ll be asked for the recipe. Here’s the recipe.

Brussels Sprouts with Bacon and Apple

by Susan McGreevy from Port Jeff Station, NY

If someone says they don’t like Brussels sprouts, have them try this recipe. Frying the bacon and then baking them in the bacon renderings adds a nice smoky flavor to the sprouts. After they bake, the outside layer gets crispy, and the inside is soft. Adding the apples gives a hint of sweetness, while vinegar balances out the flavors with some acidity. Topping them with crumbled bacon is a perfect finale for the side dish. Click here for the recipe.
