New charges filed against former RV park manager for child abuse

Authorities have arrested a man who formerly managed Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park RV Camp Resort in Elberta, Alabama, again on charges of sex crimes involving children. Prosecutors allege that in 2023, Patrick Chiranjit Streeter lured a 12-year-old boy into a campground cabin and sexually assaulted him. That led to Streeter’s first arrest for the RV park child abuse.

Now police have arrested Streeter again, as more witnesses have come forward accusing him of more child abuse crimes.

Streeter, who is 36, is set to go to trial in January for the original RV park crime. However, authorities say more witnesses came forward after that incident was publicized.

This week police arrested Streeter in Huntsville, Alabama, where he says he’s been managing a landscaping business.

Streeter was taken back to Baldwin County, where the new charges stem from, since the charges were not filed in Madison County, where he now resides.

It’s not clear if any of the new charges relate to activity at the RV park in Elberta. Anyone with information regarding alleged crimes in Baldwin County should call the District Attorney’s office at (251) 937-0274 or click here for a web contact page.

Does anyone know if this animal was out on parole and if so, how much was his bond/bail in order for him to grace our parks, streets and neighborhoods with his predatory tendencies beyond his first arrest?

I am always amazed at how many kids, not yet into their teen years, I see unsupervised in campgrounds, going into bathrooms alone, etc.

Parents beware! Unfortunately there are violent predators around and sadly, even in campgrounds.

Another reason to avoid the south

Well, Pammy, when it comes to registered s3x offenders, most of the top ten are not in the south.

Per Statista.com, the number one state with registered s3x offenders, per capita in 2019, is Oregon at 688 per 100,000 residents. Number two is in the south: Arkansas at 536. Next in line: Delaware (491), Michigan (440), Wisconsin (435), South Dakota(425), Wyoming (415), Kansas (362). Tennessee (359) and Florida (356) are 9 & 10.

Net, s3x crimes aren’t relagated to any one region of the country, so your apparent anger at the south, at least in this area, is unfounded.

Thank you, Russ and Tina! Yikes! I guess this is a reminder that bad things can happen anywhere, everywhere. Have a great weekend and safe travels!
