Cocktails delivered by drone, not waiters

If you should work up a thirst at the lakeside beach in the Estonian town of Viljandi, don’t waste your time standing in line at the bar. Instead, for a much easier and 21st Century drinking experience, simply send a text message. Within five minutes, a drone with your beverage will arrive from across Lake Viljandi.

Alas, unless you can travel to Viljandi immediately, you’ll need to wait awhile for delivery by drone: the current service is for demonstration purposes only, and will end within a couple of weeks.

This is about 2 lane roads. When I was growing up in the early 50’s our family outing was a drive after church Sunday afternoon. Something many people did back in the day. Here in Arizona at the time, there were only 3 paved highways as I recall, routes 66, 666 & 80, everything else was graded dirt roads. In fact most of the little towns were of graded roads and the only paved road was the highway that ran through them usually called main street. And as an RVer since 1989 I still prefer the 2 lanes to do my travels to see and enjoy this wonderful country . I do use the interstates when I want to get from A to B in a hurry.

Hi Chuck, a memory of the magic fingers . Early 70s my husband and I driving my mother to NC to visit her family ( she had the gift of laughter ) she gets settled in puts in her quarter, and after a time realizing a problem she calls to us in a fit of laughter. What a great memory. Thanks for all the articles on the days gone by that for some of us was the good times.
