Per the RVtravel website: “[W]e only recommend products or services we believe provide value to our readers.” The fact that the “Dump Buddy” is recommended in this newsletter makes me think that nobody at RVtravel has actually used this device. I reviewed this device on Amazon where I gave it a 3/5. If I reviewed this device today the score would be lower. In concept this device gets a good score. In implementation this device gets a bottom score. It’s poorly made, the ratchet system failed after only a few uses, the device can’t be used at many dump stations. Any fixed cover, collar, pvc union, or any other component other than 1-2 inches of plain pvc pipe makes this device incompatible.

I recently posted a comment regarding the “Dump Buddy” recommended in this newsletter. Due to size constraints I was unable to provide a substitute in that post. I purchased a heavy duty photographer’s sand bag (from Amazon), which I filled with aquarium gravel (from Walmart). The sand bag lays over my dump hose elbow holding it securely in place.

That’s what I use, too Greg Williams. I happened to have some playground (?) sand, so I used it. I really like the convenient strap handle to remove it from its storage spot, or put it back there.

Yeah I really need those spice holders. Especially for my house and my trailer up north. Wish I saw those before I placed an order from amazon. O well will see what else I need. Great idea.

Thank you, Cheri! It can’t be easy to find all this stuff and then research them to see if, in fact, they are good for, useful to RVers. Thanks again!
