Motorhome crashes, burns after brakes fail

Here’s yet more evidence that it pays to be sure the brakes on your vehicle are properly maintained — whether car, truck or motorized RV.

The couple in this motorhome were traveling down the steep Kingsbury Grade from Lake Tahoe to the Reno area on Sunday when their RV’s brakes failed due to a mechanical issue. The vehicle crashed and then burned to the ground, as you can see in the photo.

The driver and passenger were taken to a local hospital, but miraculously their injuries were non-life threatening.
