Do you wish your RV’s bathroom were bigger or smaller?

If your RV’s bathroom were the house in the story of the Three Little Pigs, would it be too big, too small, or just right?

If you have a newer RV, we’re guessing you might say it’s just right (and you might even have two bathrooms!). Newer RV bathrooms are sometimes the same size as regular house bathrooms – they’re impressive! Older RVs, however … well, they can still be in the small department.

After you’re done voting, leave a comment and tell us if our above guess was correct. We’ll see if the age of your RV comes into play here…

2008 Winnebago class C. I feel like it is just right. It has the split bathroom where the shower is on the opposite side of the hallway, so the hallway becomes the “landing zone” after a shower. I think it is a really efficient use of space. I’ll admit, though, that neither of us are very big nor tall people, so that may make a difference in my answer.

We pulled a 5th wheel toy hauler for years, and one of the biggest complaints was that it had only one bathroom sink. We were unhappy having to wait on each other when getting ready for bed. So when we upgraded to a DP Motor Coach, one criteria was 2 sinks. Ours has that – one in the WC, and one next to the shower. We’re happy campers now!

Agree with Tom … bathroom size is fine, but the shower could be just a tad more roomy.

Downsizing from a 38’ class A to a 23’ travel trailer definitely requires some adjustment. Think we’ll get used to it, our first trip comes next week for our 5th anniversary, as super seniors we’re familiar with life’s adjustments so we’ll be ok.

I have a 2018 Northern Lite truck camper with a wet bath. Another 4-6 inches in length and width would have been great. Otherwise, the camper is perfect.

Definitely bigger. We have a wet bath and the genius that designed it had the body of a circus contortionist. The best way to use the sink is to stand on your right leg and kneel on the toilet lid with the left . Showering? Never tried it. There is literally no place to safely stand.

 Micro Minnie 2106FBS 22′ long.

I wish the bathroom was 6″ longer. There’s not enough room in the dry-bathroom to easily change socks and pants–I have to partly open the door. 6″ more counter space next to the sink would also help.

Otherwise, it’s a great size for two. We’ve taken it on trips as long as 6 weeks.

I keep it simple. Porta Pot and Pee Can. We are Minimalists.

We’ve had our 1998 Casita Spirit for 14 years now and have taken some pretty long trips. Yep, the wet bath is tight, but we spend very little time in there so it really doesn’t matter. Showering is a little more tricky for my 6’1″ husband, so he sometimes will use a campground bathroom if there is one.

Our motorhome has a bath and a half. The full bath goes the width of the unit and is 5 feet wide. That being said I wish the shower was another 6-10 inches wider.

We have a 2019 Tiffin Allegro RED37PA. We purchased the PA floorplan because of the bathroom and shower size. The 2 sink vanity is marvelous and it has great storage

Would I like it a little bigger? Sure but I do not want to give up anything else in order to make it larger. So, it is just right.

We have a 2020 Allegro Bus with bath and a half. The full bath is plenty big but the half bath could be a little bigger. But I’m not really complaining-I have a bath and a half in my RV!!

We live full time in our class B van. Would like a little more bathroom space, but love where our small and nimble little RV takes us. For now, it’s just what we need!

I lucked out with my new 21qbc cls c. Everything size-wise is working out great! Caveat – I’m 5’2″/145lbs. If i ever have company much over that needing to use the loo, may need a can opener to get them back out! Of course that could be helpful in preventing anyone from becoming a long-term visitor.

I answered that it is the right size because the question pertains to the “bathroom” in our RV. I do think that it is the right size. However, I also wish that our half-bath (i.e., my bathroom) were a bit larger. I tend to stand part way in the hallway outside the half-bath when I use the sink. However, it is really nice to have two “thrones” in case nature calls us both at approximately the same time. However, we will have to learn to share soon, as we plan to downsize, which will preclude having a half-bath. I am looking forward to that day. 🙂

2000 Shasta Sprite 22′, Class C, Rear Bath and Kitchen. I think my bathroom is just right. Everyone wants a bigger shower, 6″ wider would do for me. The shower curtain extender doesn’t fit for my shower opening. 😁 I travel 3-4 months at a time wandering.

The bathroom (head) in our 48yo GMC is a good size for most of our needs. I could wish for a little more room when showering (it is a wet bath), but I would have to give up space from something else. I’m not sure I want to do that.

We have a 2021 Little Guy Max that’s 21 feet long and has a wet bath that is plenty roomy enough.

As mentioned several times below…it’s not the size of the bathroom that everyone wishes to be larger….it’s the shower. We are starting see this come about in some of the newer motorhomes, but prior to that, they aren’t much larger than the person himself.

As with others, an extra three square feet in the shower of our SPLIT-BATH Class A, would be great. We have a split bath, with a triangle shaped shower and storage cabinet. I’m not sure why they couldn’t have made the shower rectangular and done away with the three inch gap between the shower wall and the cabinet. There is just enough room to put an ironing board and some window shades in the gap, and seems like an annoying waste of space.

When I was searching for a new RV I always went inside the bathroom, shut the door, and sat down on the toilet. If I was not comfortable and could not move freely that RV was not for me. I didn’t need a big bathroom, just one where I could comfortably do my business.

The shower is plenty big, just a little more room around the sink is what is needed.

Actually, if I could change the counter top and move the sink back two inches, it would be perfect.

It would be nice if the throne room had just a foot more space. Shower space is great in our 5th wheel as is the sink area.

2007 35’DS Jayco TT: absurdly cramped bathroom but it does its jobs. Shower too short for my 6’2″ head even with the plexidome, little legroom on throne, no way you can dress in there. Rig is 430sf huge, but bathroom is a closet.

I spent some time on a sub in the Navy. We’re comfortable “dealing” with what my Dutchman came with…

I chose bigger, but actually the size is fine. However it would be far more efficient if the sink was on the wall by the slanted door entry and the toilet on the straight wall along side the shower. This would provide more knee room when sitting.

Mark

Bigger, only because I don’t like radius showers.

Just wish the bathroom in my my old 22′ class C had a little more room.
