You’d be surprised (or maybe you wouldn’t be) at the number of RVers who own golf carts. Sure, golfers love and use them often, but golf carts can also be a great method of transportation for those who are mobility-limited or who have to travel around large RV parks or resorts. Visit any sun-belt RV park and you’ll likely see as many golf carts as automobiles.
And so, our question today: Do you own a golf cart? If you do, please tell us in the comments what you most often use it for. Thanks!
Check out these absolutely incredible golf carts. If you saw one of these, you might not even recognize it as a golf cart. Seriously, they’re amazing!

No I don’t have one but people tell me that their golf cart is bigger than my Smart car that we tow behind.
My Smart car IS my golf cart!
Yes, a Cricket SX-3 we use as our Mobility Device. We are both Mobility challenged and the ADA allows us to use it where Golf Carts are not allowed.
No. I don’t play golf…
Yes, we own a golf cart, but it NEVER goes camping with us. It is strictly for home use.
I understand the in 55+ communities and camp ground staff using them but I would think those that have mobility issues would want a scooter. But why not people take their ATVs.
I live on a golf course (don’t play golf) and I have to tell you, some people spend mega bucks to have the ‘coolest’ cart at the country club. They have more gizmos and gadgets than my car.
Yes we have a gas golf cart and use it all of the time. Occasionally we are able to take it to various very large camp grounds. Allows a fun time and easy ride to the pool etc. we have enjoyed our cart very much.
We have one, but it doesn’t travel with us. We have a membership at a camping club where we keep a fifth wheel and a golf cart. We use it to tootle around, especially when giving friends tours. When we travel around with our 22’ Lance, we’re hoofing it at the campground.
Thank you, RV Travel! 🙂 No golf cart. It wouldn’t be much use around the farm. But neither does our John Deere Gator travel well. Thanks again and safe travels! 🙂
Yes, but I don’t want one (it’s for sale).
We purchased one when we had a park model in a seasonal campground. It served it’s purpose, and we sold it for more than we paid for it. Win, Win!
The one I currently own was given to me. It’s old and tired (like me). I’ll fix it, or sell it as is. Don’t need it, so why keep it.
Lastly; our Toad is a 2009 Smart Car. It’s the size of a golf cart, but is road legal, with AC!
Yes, we own a golf cart. but our sticks n bricks is in a boating club development and we use it to go to and from the clubhouse, docks, etc. It does not travel with us. We take our Polaris RZR to get around when we head south for the winter.
No we don’t have a golf cart, nor would we hang scrubby sponges on it, or anywhere else outside the shower for that matter, if we did.
Golf carts should be banned from all campgrounds. People drive faster than the cars are allowed. And the dust..don’t have allergies.
Many campgrounds allowed people to bring in their privately owned golf carts. Recently I have seen notices that privately owned golf carts are no longer allowed, but you can rent one from the campground, after you produce a drivers license.
