Do you usually set an alarm on your phone or an alarm clock to wake you up in the morning? If so, do you set one every day or just sometimes? Just for special occasions? Or do you just wake up naturally every day and not need an alarm at all?
Oh, and in case you need a lot of help getting up in the morning, perhaps this will do…
After you vote, please feel free to leave a comment and tell us what time you set your alarm for. Curious minds, you know…

Nope, been waking up by 0430 for almost 40 years (28 years of Army conditioning).
Yep. 45 years. 20 in the Air Force and 24 as a government contractor. If you got to be in position at 0700, you’re up at 0530.
60 years as a Commercial plumbing service contractor-24/7/365. Yes some of us still exist.
And thank goodness there are still some of you left out there still at it!
For me, only on Sunday. For the Wife, everyday. Doctor wants her up by 08:30 and not sleeping her life away. I have trouble sleeping past 05:00-06:00 so an alarm is not needed.
We use an Amazon Echo Show for an alarm clock. Easy to set by voice and reliable. However, we rarely make use of the alarm feature, except for extra early morning appointments. We usually get up at 6am every morning without the aid of Alexa!
We use ours the same way.
Once in a blue moon. I have two dogs for waking up at 630AM.
0530 plus or minus. 4 cats help.
We have cats that know what time breakfast is an get us up.
Since I retired 11 years ago, I’ve never set an alarm. It’s one of those pleasures I looked forward to my whole life! But, that’s not to say I sleep in. I wake up around 4am and am up and about by 4:30. As John Wayne said in one of his movies, “We’re burning daylight”.
I only set an alarm for mornings I/we have to be up & out of the house early. For Dr appointments, dog sport events or a long travel day.
No never, I have dogs, they are up early every day.
Yes, I set the alarm but only because my bride still works. However, most mornings I awaken just before the alarm would go off.
Thank you, RV Travel! 🙂 Yes, every morning. Otherwise I might sleep too long to accomplish anything that day. Monday, Wednesday, and Friday it is 7 AM to take the mischievous dog #3 to daycare, freeing of oversight and allowing us to work around the farm. Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday it is 8:30 AM so we are not late for church, and because we cannot afford to send dog #3 to daycare every day of the week. Less farm work happens because DW or I spend hours playing catch or otherwise overseeing dog #3 rather than working. If we are traveling, then 8:30 unless the day’s schedule requires an earlier time. Thanks again, have a great day, safe travels, and safe stays! 🙂
No, but I set my phone alarm for taking my pills.
I usually go to bed and wake up around the same times, no alarm needed. But if we HAVE to be up by a certain time, especially if earlier than normal, I will set the alarm on the bedroom clock as a precaution.
Only on the rare occasion do I not wake up when I need to, I set an alarm for those rare occasions when I don’t. I usually am awake 15 to 20 minutes before the alarm is set to go off. Even to this day 16 years into retirement I still wake up between 5 and 6 o’clock every morning.
What alarm
I’ve never needed one…seems my body just knows when to wake up. Even when I worked, I always woke up in time. I guess having 3 kids and being raised by a Navy Dad “trained” me!
We have an alarm that wakes us up at almost the same time every morning. Her name is Izzy, our three year old bernadoodle.
Nope, but still wake up between 4:30-5:00 every day.
Only if I have to be up before 8:30. I stay up kinda late.
After 35+ years of waking up to a 4:45 AM alarm, I now only set an alarm for an early appointment, flight or road trip!
Only an alarm for an early appointment, the rest of the time our dog is our alarm.
6 am to feed the cats, but one cat is there between 5:30 and 5:50 to let me know the alarm is coming up. keep a regular schedule to getting up and doing excercises
When working I needed two alarm clocks across the room and sometimes that did not work. The only morning I see now is when I go to bed at 4 or 5 am.
Exactly this 😂
And I thought I was the only one with Night Owl syndrome.
I’m retired but I’m up around 6:30 AM every day.
I ususally wake up early on my own. Sometimes I set an alarm when I’m camp hosting or on my last day of camping so I can be sure to leave on time without rushing around.
When possible
Some time when it’s totally necessary only.
