Pickleball is huge! In fact, it’s become so popular that it was the number one amenity added to RV parks last year. Impressive, huh? Maybe you want to take advantage of all those new courts!
All across the country, RV parks and campgrounds are carving out space for pickleball courts—and not just one or two. Some parks are installing whole clusters of them, complete with organized play schedules and beginner clinics. It’s quickly becoming a way for RVers to meet new people and stay active on the road.
Even if you’re new to the game, it’s known for being beginner-friendly. You don’t need years of training or expensive gear—just a paddle, a ball, and a willingness to give it a try. And many RV parks are happy to loan or rent equipment to curious first-timers.
You never know when you’ll pull into a park and discover your next doubles partner is in the site next door. RV life and pickleball? Turns out, they go hand-in-hand. And how fun to be able to play pickleball at different courts across the country!
So tell us: Do you play pickleball? If so, do you play often? Sometimes? Occasionally? If you’ve never played before, do you hope to learn someday or not?
After you vote, feel free to leave a comment. Thanks!
Oh, and if you want to learn more about how to play and the history of the sport, Gail Marsh wrote about that here.
MORE POLLS YOU MAY ENJOY
• What do you do most nights after dinner?
• Generally, would you rather camp by the ocean or in the mountains?
• Is your life boring, stimulating or somewhere in between?

The wording of the final choice???
Think “I’ve” should of been the choice but AI wins again.
Fixed. Thanks, Skip and volnavy. (I forgot to go in and proof the poll itself.🫢) Have a great day. 😀 –Diane at RVtravel.com
Partial tear in a tendon at the knee. Surgeon said repair would cause more damage than learning to live with it. Lots of PT and I have my balance back. Not going to risk further injury.
At this age it would I wouldn’t want to pickle anything less something with a ball.
Did, but no longer.
Maybe if I were deaf.
Yep, I hope all those new courts are far far away from the camp area.
Need to use a Walker or other Mobility device, so NO to sports involving physical movement.
Yes, love playing PB! You can use apps to find places to play while traveling. It’s also a very affordable new hobby. You meet the nicest people too. Locals will take you under their wing and recommend places of interest you would never think of. Warm up exercises on You Tube are a must to avoid injury. Sitting all the time on travel days or visiting people and also living in a smaller place than your sticks and bricks, is no cardio workout. Physcially, mentally and socially stimulating! Hubby and I are so happy we learned something new at this stage of life!
Getting ready to start next week…..
I would rather go to the pool hall and play a few games of Snooker.
Amazing that it’s the #1 amenity added to rv parks and yet 65% of the people have no interest in trying it.
Looks like noisy fun but my knees would howl!
Too many people are hurt, some seriously playing a seemingly safe game. Good friend really messed up his face broke his glasses scratched his eyeball.
another tore a tendon.
usually when overextending to reach a ball.
not a game for old people.
PLUS the sound drives me nuts
Couldn’t answer the question because I used to play pickle ball but stopped after surgery on my right shoulder. Than falling while playing and hurting my left shoulder and hip. I decided it was time to stop. At my age, it takes too long to heal.
Thank you for the question, RV Travel! No, no interest. I have been invited to play twice, but too much work needs doing to divert time to pickleball. Have a great day and safe travels! 🙂
Tried it once and it was neither sweet nor sour and was too spongey.
Bad knees, bad shoulders, bad idea!
