Is your clothes closet neatly arranged so dress shirts are in one place, casual shirts in another and pants and jackets in their own special places? Or are all your clothes mixed together with no rhyme or reason?
Is your desk a mess no matter how hard you try to keep it arranged? Or is it neatly arranged, with little on it that does not belong there?
In other words, are you the type of person who naturally knows how to keep things in their life in order? Or are you the type of person who, no matter how hard they try, cannot get organized?
It’s the Oscar and Felix Syndrome — you know, the Odd Couple from movie and TV fame.
So which person are you? Are you organized, or disorganized, or somewhere in between? That’s our question today. Please feel free to leave a comment.
And remember, it can take a moment for the poll to load. So stand by. It will be right along.

Clutter wins.
He or She who dies with the most STUFF is still DEAD!
I am organized as I have a place for everything, I am disorganized as once I put something somewhere I can’t find where it was, so I go buy a new one, then end up with double.
OMG … I have the same disease. Lived in a home 50 years, knew where everything was. New home very organized but can’t find anything.
It is harder to put everything into an easy to get to space when space is tight. I try to be organized, but find I periodically have to remove all the items jumbled from digging and repack them.
Organized is all in the way a person does things.
If someone would see my workshop, they would wonder how I can find anything. After years of using and replacing tools and hardware in the same spots, it is organized in my mind.
I’ve had my wife ‘borrow’ a certain tool an then put it back somewhere in the shop.
Drives me crazy.
A place for everything and everything on the floor!
There are two types of people in the world…’Oscars’ and ‘Felixes’. I taught Felix how to organize.
My wife thinks I am disorganized but I know where everything is..
As I learned in my sailing days, “A place for everything, and everything in its place!”
“If a cluttered desk is an indication of a cluttered mind – what kind of mind is a clean desk an indication of?” Hmmm? Before I retired and my years in service, I was highly organized – since, not so much – mostly because with only two days a week – Mon. and Fri., I find I have very little time to stop and work a plan to store or save “stuff” in its proper place! My desk is an absolute disaster, as is my shop! The sign on my shop door reads: “My superpower is holding onto junk for years and then throwing it away two weeks before I need it!“
I sometime have the same problem with saving something just to toss and need it two days later. On the other hand, just last week I was fabricating something and my wife asked, “where did you get that thing? it works just perfect for what I needed.” I told her that I saved it from something I had taken apart one time, and she said, “My gosh you took that apart 40 years ago.” Yep, ya never know when you may have a use for that piece of junk.
Exactly right Kelly – if my late wife had had her way – I would have a lot of room – but nothing to fix the stuff which I know that odd ball thing in the junk box under the bench will be needed sooner or later……
I’m organized, except for my two junk drawers in my kitchen. I can’t keep them in order no matter how I try!
When in the right mood, I can GET organized. I just can’t stay organized.
Me: an*l. Husband, bless his heart, is a hot mess. Our cat: chill.
Thank you for the question, RV Travel! A bit more organized than disorganized, but I could be more organized than I am. Have a great day and safe travels!
