Tip of the Day

This RV is all decorated for Christmas!

Even more tips, decor and gadgets to help decorate your RV for Christmas

By Gail Marsh
Help! I want to decorate my RV for Christmas! But I can hear it now: My husband wondering aloud, “How do you intend to fit Christmas decorations into our small RV? We’re tripping over things as it is!” I have a few ideas and tips for RV holiday décor, and to address my husband’s concerns, some of these decoration ideas take up zero floor space!

We all need a little Christmas, even in our RVs, and no RV is too small for at least some décor. Because all RVs differ in layout, wall space, etc., I encourage you to pick and choose the ideas that will work best in your RV.

What insulation value do RV windows have? Some models seem a little excessive!

By Dave Solberg
Be aware of what I call the RV manufacturers’ “WOW!” factor.

Just last weekend I saw a unit at my local fueling station just off I-35 that had two large sliding glass doors and windows all over the place. Ironically, Tony Barthel just did a review of a similar unit, a Wildwood-Salem Lodge 44 VIEW, and it prompted me to write this article about the “WOW” factor and windows.

Grand Design Imagine AIM 14MS—redefining small trailers

By Tony Barthel
Today’s RV review is of the Grand Design Imagine AIM 14MS. Whew, that’s quite a name. I think this is one of the first trailers I’ve seen where someone could buy the trailer more for the usability and layout than just because it’s small. There are people, myself included, who like smaller rigs because of the places we can go and park without worrying about accommodating some giant thing. …

But often those smaller trailers have a lot of compromises that do affect the fun of using them. I would say that this one doesn’t, unless you’re not a fan of Murphy beds. That aside, this is one of the best small trailers I’ve seen on the market.

Finding and identifying your RV’s water heater information

By Dustin Simpson
Join me in the video below “In the RV Shop” as I talk about where to locate your RV water heater information. Besides the model number, you will find the serial number, which is necessary when contacting any RV dealership or repair shop. Dometic, Suburban or Furrion will all require this information on your water heater to look up the unit, purchase parts and to assist with any troubleshooting.

6 expensive RV gadgets that are worth every penny!

By Cheri Sicard
OK, I will start with the disclaimer that these are not my expensive RV gadget picks, but rather those of our video hosts, John and Kristin Farnsworth of the No Ordinary Path YouTube channel.

They say that these six pricey RV gadgets were worth every penny of their expensive price tags. And to be honest, some of these items are not even all that expensive!

Quick Tip

Battling a battalion of shoes! Easy shoe storage for the RV

By Nanci Dixon
I seem to always be in a battle with a battalion of shoes! They never stay in formation. I have figured out where to kick them off when we come in the motorhome. I had a system in our old RV of stacking the shoes behind a chair, but that doesn’t work anymore. I needed a new shoe storage system for our RV. Continue reading this short tip.

If power naps are 10 to 20 minutes, then I usually have 6 to 3 consecutively.

…that thing you do with your eyes closed, after an evening dinner, and before going to bed. Usually caused by lousy, boring Tv!

I love this RV. I do not like the price and for the price I am going to remodel my bunk model trailer. I have ideas and can do this for 1/3 the price without having to get a loan. So thanks for the ideas. I am eyeing and have been for a while an E bike. As for a great national park? I love Acadia in Maine. I have seen almost all of the national parks and I guess I am partial to this location.
