Navigating the crossroads of trailer safety chain hookup
By Dave Solberg
There have been several discussions on proper connection of trailer safety chains. An article regarding the connection of the safety chains to a hitch that broke off prompted several comments worth addressing. I think we all agree that safety chains are a good thing whether you are driving a motorhome and pulling a towed vehicle (“toad”) or have a truck towing a trailer. BEGINNERS TIP: How to use an RV toilet.
Quick tip
Replace your kitchen/bathroom RV faucets for less
You don’t need to go to an RV dealer for a limited selection at a high price when you need a new faucet. Any faucet that fits the sink pattern (number of openings through the counter and the distance between them) will work in your RV. Yes, there are a variety of different connectors, but you can find an appropriate adapter, if needed. Here’s the ticket: Remove the old faucet and take it down to the big box hardware store and shop for what you really want. Size it up for both counter fit, and water connections.

BUMPER SNICKER: “Make yourself at home—clean my kitchen!”
Leave here with a laugh
An elderly woman was standing at the railing of a cruise ship holding her hat on tight so it would not blow off in the wind. A gentleman approached her: “Pardon me, madam, but did you know that your dress is blowing up in this high wind?” “Yes, I know,” she said, “I need both hands to hold onto the hat.” He politely replied: “But, madam, you are not wearing anything under your dress, and your privates are showing!” The woman looked down, then back up at the man and said, “Sir, anything you see down there is 85 years old. I just bought this hat yesterday!”

When replacing the bath room faucet, be sure an consider the height of your chosen faucet.
I had about 1/4 inch clearance when installing a much better designed bathroom faucet. You could actually get your hands under it.
As for the reader poll? Both parents adoptive and biological are dead this includes their sibs as well. So it is just me and the dogs. As for evacuating from a campground? Fort Wilderness WDW 2 days after getting their. A hurricane is a blowing. September 2022. Made for a not so fun birthday week.
When replacing faucets, one thing I found is that our RV had multiple, unnecessary connectors and adapters between the main supply lines, shut-off valves, and the faucet supply lines. By getting faucet supply lines with the proper fittings and necessary length, I was able to eliminate two connections in each line. That’s four potential leak points gone, at minimal expense!
