By Cheri Sicard
Here, we join Kyle, aka the Geography King, for his countdown of the six best interstate routes for cross-country road trips. The “Geography King” is basing his picks on his experiences taking more than 20 cross-country trips, and counting.

The video focuses on interstate highways, as most major U.S. cities are near one. And, as the topic is crossing the country, it focuses on east/west routes. If you don’t want to watch the video, I break them all down for you in the article, too.

Solar controllers versus solar inverters

Solar charge controllers (solar regulators) were once the only option for off-grid power systems and are used to create what is known as a DC-coupled system. DC-coupled systems use solar controllers to charge a battery directly from the panels, which is extremely efficient, while a battery inverter supplies AC power to home appliances. Continue reading.

Monday Motivation

“Don’t let the fear of the time it will take to accomplish something stand in the way of doing it. The time will pass anyway; we might just as well put that passing time to the best possible use.” —Earl Nightingale

? MYSTERY PRODUCT OF THE DAY ?
You probably don’t need something like this at the moment because it’s so nice outside. But when the weather turns, this would be great to have to keep you active. And it’s RV-sized!

Trivia

On average, full siblings share 50% of their DNA. Identical twins share virtually 100% of theirs. First cousins share only about 14.4%, second cousins share about 3.4%, and third cousins share less than 1%. By the time you reach fifth cousins, the overlap is tiny and may not even appear in a DNA test, making genealogical records important for tracing connections. —23andMe
