Re: “Convection Ovens”
An item that has been misnamed by highly overpaid AD MEN who have forgotten their High school physics.
The ORIGINAL ovens are ‘Convection’ where the heat rises up and reciculates in the oven box.
You can see this with any flame from a candle, cigarette or other heats ourselves.
THAT is Convection!
Those so called ‘Convection’ ovens are just forced recirc air from a fan; like your furnace has.
(And don’t start me on “SUVs” or “Crossovers”)
Mel, not everyone is as upset by this labeling as you. The product is called a convection oven, and to avoid confusion, that’s what we call them, too. I’m sure a thousand other popular products are technically mislabeled as well. In the big scheme of things, I don’t think this is really all that important. — Chuck
