Our own Tony Barthel of StressLess Camping shares a quick and easy fix for a common RV problem: a broken blackout shade handle.
This RV blackout shade repair is so quick and easy, it fits in a YouTube shorts video. Tony shows what the problem is when the blackout shade’s handle separates from the shade itself and how to fix it.
Tony admits that he bent his shade’s handle while removing it. Nonetheless, he was still able to get the job done… for now. He has plans to replace it later so it is more aesthetically pleasing, and he says the company is good about replacement parts.
But until then, even when accidentally bending the handle, it still functions. Tony’s error will help you be more cautious. But should you ever need to make this common RV repair yourself, you won’t have to order a replacement part, and the one that’s there will work equally as well.
