12-second RV mod is a brilliant swimsuit season hack

By Cheri Sicard
Our favorite RV gearhead, Joshua from the RV Gear & Far YouTube channel, shares a brilliant RV swimsuit season hack in the video.

This little RV mod is so quick and easy that it is going to take you longer to read this short post than the time Joshua takes in the video to show it.

It’s also so smart (How smart is it?), it will have you saying to yourself, “Now, why didn’t I think of that?”

So what’s the secret? Hang some Command hooks around the inside of your RV shower’s vent!

Now when the family comes in from swimming, they can change their clothes in the bathroom and hang their dripping wet swimsuits to dry, with all the water neatly dripping into the shower!

This hack would also work well for drying hand-washed clothing and delicates.

I said it was brilliant!

Great idea. I don’t have a skylight directly above my shower. What I did was to add a closet rod in the center of the shower close to the ceiling. With the correct rod hardware, one side U shaped, it’s easy to pop the rod off when taking a shower.

Love it! Of course it assumes the skylight is over the shower (most seemingly are). We have a sturdy spring loaded curtain rod from which we can use plastic clothes hangers in our shower. But this idea is always ready and waiting!

Thank you, Cheri! 🙂 This suggestion certainly appeals to my need for orderliness and desire to reduce messiness. It is also highly practical. Great idea! Thanks for finding and sharing this! Have a wonderful day and SAFE travels! 🙂

In my fifth wheel, it had the typical rectangular shower enclosure. We decided to swap the curtain rod that folds out to increase usable space in the shower. This left me with the original shower rod… what to do with it? I installed it above the shower going from side to side of the shower so we could hang suits, towels, wetsuits etc. We found we could use plastic coat hangers to hang items from the shower bar.

Love the Command Hook & skylight idea. Lucky for me I took a look at the TT’s skylight and the trim was textured. A Command Hook wouldn’t have a chance. Dang.
