If you’re a cowboy or a cowgirl, or you think of yourself as one at heart, you might just fall in love with this new Airstream Stetson + 6666 Special Edition Travel Trailer. The interior’s appearance is striking with a warmer feel than other Airstream models.
Here’s a brief look at this new (and very different) Airstream from information based on a news release authorized to be published today. Production of the model will begin next month.
Airstream has partnered with Stetson and the Four Sixes Ranch (6666) to introduce the Airstream Stetson + 6666 Special Edition Travel Trailer. Inspired by ranching culture, small towns and the history of the American frontier, the trailer brings together elements from all three brands.
Designed at Airstream’s Jackson Center, Ohio, factory along with Western-style specialists from Stetson and Four Sixes, the trailer incorporates a style drawn from the West Texas landscape.
“This collaboration merges Western history with our focus on outdoor travel,” said Bob Wheeler, Airstream president and CEO. “With ranch motifs, historic artwork and tooled leather accents inside the aluminum shell, we hope to encourage travelers to get out on the road.”
Stetson CEO Robert Dundon said the partnership reflects shared values of craftsmanship and independence. Four Sixes Ranch co-owner Taylor Sheridan said the project aligns with the ranch’s long tradition and its expanding role in culture, entertainment and cuisine.
Western heritage reimagined
The trailer features materials, flooring and soft goods influenced by Stetson’s hat-making and Western wear traditions and the heritage of Four Sixes Ranch. A color palette of rustic brown, clay, oxblood and charcoal reflects the West Texas terrain where the ranch has operated since 1870.
Inside, Western themes appear throughout. Features include black-stained oak, a hammered copper apron-front kitchen sink, an oil-rubbed bronze bathroom sink, leather upholstery and branded details such as vintage Stetson artwork and custom pillows.
A leather couch, leather headboard, woven window coverings with leather tiebacks and built-in storage such as a hat rack contribute to the design.
Exterior elements include weathered metal touches and a Stetson hat screen-door guard. A red striped power awning with Southwestern-inspired embroidery and embossed logos provides shade, while a red beltline accent contrasts with Airstream’s silver exterior. Embossed cowboy artwork on the solar guards references Western traditions.
Built for the road
The 27-foot floor plan suits couples, solo travelers or families of up to four. It offers a queen bed or twin beds, plus a convertible dinette. An optional rear hatch with a sliding screen allows for wider outdoor views.
Standard equipment includes 2.4 kWh of lithium batteries, a 2,000-watt inverter and a 300-watt rooftop solar system with an interior monitor. The trailer has a GVWR of 7,600 pounds.
Launching Airstream’s collaboration series
The Stetson + 6666 trailer is the first model in Airstream’s new Collaboration Series, which will introduce designs and interiors developed with various partner brands.
“Our founder, Wally Byam, encouraged improvements rooted in purpose,” Wheeler said. “This special-edition model reflects that mindset as we explore new ideas and new audiences.”
Each trailer includes a stylized “6666” vinyl decal in recognition of the ranch’s cattle brand. The Airstream Stetson + 6666 Special Edition Travel Trailer may be ordered through Airstream dealers. Pricing will be available when production begins next month.

Real cowboys & cowgirls probably need a combo horse trailer / RV with actual storage space for a lot of riding gear!
I don’t think a horse will fit thru that optional hatch! 😉🙂

My kind of trailer and interior rather than the bright interior that “lets the outside in” If you want the outside in, then go outside and when you come in it is a nice cozy place. How many of my boots and hats will it hold?

Even if I was given one I would just sell it. Airstreams have inadequate outside storage, old fashioned awnings, storage cabinets that have limited storage because of the rounded design, among other things, and way, way over priced. I could buy at least two travel trailers for the price of one Airstream! Thanks, but no thanks.

Where does one put the horse…???
Hmmm, I own three Stetson hats, so where do I hang my hat in this trailer, or park my size sixteen boots? What it needs is an expanded metal net over the roof and A/C units to protect the Airstream from hail damage.
