There are a wide variety of road signs we have seen across the country while RVing warning us not to hit things like animals, pedestrians, children, or trains. We’ve even seen signs warning us not to drive over the mountain’s edge.
We all know the standard warning signs for animals and wildlife like cows, deer, bison, and elk, and, of course, the basic signs like stop, turn, and one way only. But there are a lot more signs across the world that can befuddle or cause uncontrollable laughter!
These are just a few of my favorites that I’ve come across online. I hope they make you laugh as much as they did me!

What’s the funniest or weirdest road sign you’ve ever seen? Tell me about it in the comments below. If you have a photo of it, send it to us at editor(at)rvtravel.com.

These are side-splitting signs, Nanci. Thanks for the article. As sometimes is said, “You can’t make this $@&% up”!
In Alaska we came across an airplane crossing. The crossing worked just like a railroad crossing with gates that came down. It was so strange to see a small plane crossing the road.
When I was a kid, we’d sometimes travel through the Appalachians. Lots of signs that said, “Watch For Falling Rock”. My dad used to quip, “That Indian Princess ‘Falling Rock’ sure does get around, doesn’t she?”
Thank you, Nanci! The “go right to turn left” road signs are not uncommon in New Jersey. They call them “jug handles” and are used instead of left-turn lanes. Have a great week and safe travels! 🙂
Sign! Sign! Everywhere the sign…blockin out the scenery, breakin my mind! hahaha…
