Good for Love’s. I hope they keep adding them
Hopefully they have situated the pumps parallel to the building.
Every other Loves I’ve seen has them perpendicular to the building, making it almost impossible to enter and exit the gas pumps.
PS: Or at least put in dedicated RV lanes. Easy in and out like some Flying J’s.
$55 for a crowded back-in space in a noisy, smelly truck stop?
Trinidad, Colorado, is 20 miles north of Raton, New Mexico. Raton is at the base of Raton Pass. When New Mexico was a territory a difficult toll road was built over Raton Pass. At one time Raton was a major rail hub but freight and Amtrack rail traffic diminished after an easier route was built farther east. I remember when I-25 didn’t exist and before the previous four lane highway I remember when it was only two lanes when I was a kid in the 1930s. You might be interested in the novel and Warner Bros. movie Raton Pass. The book was first published in hardback in the 1950s and republished multiple times in hardback and paperback. Novel and screenplay written by Tom W Blackburn.
Has anyone else noticed the trend of Love’s reducing free RV parking and trying to push us towards paying for spots? I’m off grid so very rarely need hookups. I’m in a Love’s tonight in Tennessee (which is not friendly at all to overnighters already) and all of the perimeter parking has signs saying they are for employees only. I’m in a class B and can fit in a regular parking spot. I don’t like using one of the 3, or in some places 6, RV designated lanes in case a big rig needs it. So I asked if I could park in one of the spots anyway and was told no. But I could pay over $50 to stay in one of their RV spots. I said I wasn’t going to do that. She said I could stay where I was.
