You’ve submitted hundreds (and hundreds) of photos of your pets to us. Many of your photos include two or three (even four, five, six or seven!) pets, but we want to get a better idea here: How many pets do you have?
One Fido, one Fifi? One Spot and one Boots? One Brownie and one Milo and one Luna? One Snowball and one Rover and one Buddy and one Lucy? OK, you get the point…
Please tell us in the poll below how many pets you have. And don’t forget to send us a photo of them.

We travel with all six of our fur babies in our motorhome. We will not kennel them and they all travel very well. They know when it is time to hit the road and all run into the coach. 3 miniature daschunds, a boxer, and 2 plott hounds. We have never had a problem getting in any park. We are up front and responsible for them, and carry all records for them.
Fred we have a rescue from down south and thought she was a lab mix. While in Fla a couple years ago a man said, what a good looking plott hound. Never heard of this before. What do yours look like? Thanks Steve
When we got our rescue they told us she was a plott hound mix. We said a what? Like you, we had never heard of them before.
I’m so happy someone else has a big ol’ Plott Hound! Ours is 7 years old and adjusting nicely to full time RVing!
My baby passed away a few years ago. I had her cremated and carry some of her ashes in a necklace. She’s always with me.
Our cairn died in 2017 and I had her cremated. Nice to know others are so attached. SHe’s in the TV room with our late son, also cremated. They get along fine. It feels good to know they are both close by.
Two car sick cats, good when we stop for the day, they just don’t like moving, coach or car. Love them anyway and would miss their company if left home.
Three – 2 cats and 1 dog, 10 – if you count my spoiled rotten chickens!
Actually we do not own pets. Our two own our hearts! A source of joy and laughter. Having pets is not a matter of life and death. It is much more important than that.
We live with a German Shepard who is kind enough to share her home with us. The house is surrounded by woods so we cannot count the number of deer, raccoon, possum, and coyote in our yard. The number is well over 10.
2 Pomeranians, one miniature Jack Russel. All 3 reside in the house and an outside cat. The dogs come with us camping. The cat stays home and guards against mice.
Three dogs, two cats and a cockatoo. The dogs travel with us. The cats and bird stay home. They miss us when we are gone.
How many pets do we own? We think we own three cats. Each of them thinks she owns us.
2: a male Jack Russell, 4 years old in December, and a female Chihuahua one in December. They travel great!
One 2 year old Jack Russell Terrier, loves to camp and chase squirrels.
We have just started traveling with our two rescue parakeets. They were never hand fed, handled or tamed so are scared when hands come around them. We just traveled from Oregon to Mesa AZ over some horrible roads in Sacramento and we all survived.
We travel with 8 cats & 12 birds…
Wow… 12 birds! Our one was loud enough for us that I can’t imagine having 12 in such a small enclosure.
Oh, BTY, our 2 cats own us. We are just staff!
Just lost our cat, 19 years old. May find another after a while.
So sorry you’ve lost such a long-time member of your family, Don. Very sad. 🙁 —Diane at RVtravel.com
So sorry for your loss!
I don’t own them………they “own” me. One dog. One cat. As they say…Dogs have masters and cats have staff. 🙂
Two Goldendoodles! 8 year old brother and sister. ❤️
11-yr old Maggie the Wonder Beagle!
Actually, we are owned by one very spoiled black cat, and she always goes RV-ing with us.
I answered three, two dogs and a cat. I also have about 50 fish. The dogs travel with us, the cat stays home guarding the fish.
I don’t own any, they own me. 1 dog, 1 african grey parrot.
Hah! There’s the truth🤣.
Three beagles. Zelda, Hilde and Migna.
Until fairly recently we traveled with two precious dogs, sadly one passed about a year ago, and our cat that loved being with us in the RV. Sadly too, he passed just ten days ago. Now we just have our sweet 15 yo Dachshund. Over our nearly 40 years as a couple we have had many pets, but these three travelled extensively with us and will be forever missed.
I had to answer none. We are between dogs at this time. Just lost our Jack Russel and are looking to replace her with a Wheaten Terrior. We will be on a list with a reputable breeder for a while I have been told. Hate to be without a good traveling companion, but no puppy mill.
I would have NEVER thought I’d get a cat, but a community cat in Yuma last February stole my heart. Unfortunately she was pregnant, but I was smitten. I found a kitten rescue in Brawley, CA and chose a very calm and affectionate Calico. Now I don’t know how I’d live without her! So far she’s not into traveling (I’m a half-timer) but I have hope!
Oh Rhonda…..it happens to the best of us….😂❤️😻😻
We’ve had a dog or cat or two the whole time we’ve been together (38+ years). Travel has been by car, small truck camper, tent trailer and RV. All of them have traveled with us except the last cat. We took a year off when she discovered the outdoors when we moved to Montana. We were afraid she had too many options (from bottom step to back of couch next to door) for slipping out so stayed home, worried she’d get lost/hurt. Then she disappeared. Currently we have 2 “pound puppies”, both Lab mixes, both lap dogs. They take over the couch at night.
Don’t own a pet but have a grand dog that visits us often. If his family mentions Poppa T or Gramsby “Bennett” gets so excited and runs to the door looking for us. I really think he would stay with us all the time but his family loves him too.
I find it offensive when someone says do you own a pet. We do not own them. We adopted them. They are a part of our family. To own something is like owning a car or house. But in the future please refrain from saying owning a pet. IMO not yours
Thanks, Jillie. I’ve changed the article accordingly. That’s kinda like me and “my” 18 acres of beautiful mountain property. I don’t feel like I “own” it — I feel like I’m borrowing it from Mother Nature, and all of the animals there (cougars, bobcats, black bears, deer, etc.) are sharing it with me. 🙂 Take care. —Diane at RVtravel.com
We just went full time in August and brought the whole gang with us. 6 dogs and 1 Fierce Siamese cat. We gutted a travel trailer and rebuilt it from the floors up to be dog friendly and provide crate space and snuggle space for everyone.
Dogs are : 7 year old Plott Hound. 10 year old Blue Heeler. 2 year old Entlebucher herding dog. 5 year old Rat Terrier mix. 15 year old Rhodesian Ridgeback mix and 16 year Rhodesian Ridgeback mix.
Everyone gets along and travels pretty well. We do have 2 vehicles specifically for travel days. We’re a family, we just look a bit different than most others. Met a couple with 9 Daschhunds the other day – that was a bundle of happiness.
