Today’s thought

“I cannot teach anybody anything. I can only make them think.” ―Socrates

Need an excuse to celebrate? Today is National Pralines Day!

On this day in history: 1949 – The first television Western, “Hopalong Cassidy,” starring William Boyd, is aired on NBC. (Are you a fan? Then you’ll love all this!)

Tip of the day
The best two-minute tidy tip

You don’t need a whole day to make your RV feel like a calm, clean place. The two-minute tip is simple: Treat tiny chores as non-negotiable micro-habits and do them the moment they’re needed.

If you want fast, reliable ways to keep a small space pleasantly livable, you’ve come to the right place.

Tiny spaces win when chores stay tiny. The idea isn’t to deep-clean everything every day. Instead, stop clutter and crumbs from building into big, time-consuming jobs. The two-minute rule has two basic tenets… Continue reading.

First look at the small, light, Modern Buggy Hopper travel trailers

Small-trailer shoppers usually have to pick between price, weight, and build quality. The Modern Buggy Hopper series tries to keep all three in the same conversation. Built through a partnership between Bish’s RV and Modern Buggy RV, these travel trailers stay easy to tow and more useful than their size suggests. The lineup started with four models, each aimed at campers who want flexibility without a stripped-down feel. Cheri writes about them and Josh the RV Nerd at Bish’s RV gives us a video tour of the four models. What do you think?

You can enhance the towing capabilities and the overall functionality of your RV by modifying your tow hitch. However, it’s important to approach any modifications with careful consideration of safety, legal requirements, and compatibility with your RV and towed vehicles. Continue reading.

Transforming a flatbed truck to truck camper

The Runaway Roses had one clear goal with this flatbed build: Get a 2023 Ford F-350 cab chassis ready for a Lance 1172 truck camper without giving up the extra storage a flatbed can offer. This setup shows how much function a flatbed can add to a truck camper build.

Quick tip
Having trouble with a stuck-on decal?

Trying to get rid of an unwanted (or worn out) RV decal? Use a “vinyl eraser” mounted to your corded electric drill. The rubber disc erases the sticker without damaging the rig’s finish. Search for these on the internet (or on Amazon) using the keywords: vinyl eraser or decal remover.

Trivia

With its tropical climate, sunny skies, and high humidity, Miami ranked as the worst city in the United States for termites for the fourth year in a row, according to a new report from Orkin. Los Angeles is second. That’s because heat and dry conditions tend to allow termites to stay active longer. Cities in Florida made up four spots in the top 10 this year, including Tampa at No. 3, Orlando at No. 5, and West Palm Beach at No. 7.

The decal eraser has to turn at a high RPM to work. It would not work with my cordless drills!

Decal Eraser needs a careful touch. Too much pressure will also remove paint. Use Goo-Be-Gone to remove remaining adhesive.

No no no to the decal tools. There is only one and easy way to insure no damage to gel coat. “GraphXoff”. Apply with a brush, wait 15 minutes and smoothly scrape of with plastic scraper.
Effortlessly.

Thanks for reposting Cheri’s Road Trip Playlist from 2023. Just checking to see if Drew Holcome’s “I need to go somewhere” made the list (it did)! It’s 2026 and most people have never heard the song, or of the artist. If you don’t sign with a major label, you don’t get air time (funny how that works). FYI Comments are OFF on the article, otherwise I would have posted this there.
