Campground for dogs and their owners provides tons of canine fun!

By Cheri Sicard
Nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, Rutherfordton, North Carolina’s, 4 Paws Kingdom Campground & Dog Retreat is literally a campground for dogs and their parents. But NOT for their underage human siblings. Interestingly enough, this place is kid-free!

The 18-acre RV park and campground is, however, dedicated to dogs and their owners.

The park’s canine-focused amenities are its star attractions.

In addition to seven off-leash dog parks including an agility park, Fido can take a dip in the campground’s private dog-friendly pond, and/or have a spa day and come out with a stylish new do!

There are RV sites with full hookups, some with kennels available, as well as yurts for rent.

The short video above has no dialogue, but it will give you a tour of the place and show you what it is like and some of the canine amenities you and your furry friend can expect when visiting this one-of-a-kind campground for dogs!

Besides the dogs, it also looks like the humans are having lots of fun, too, including live music and dancing, wine tasting, dog-friendly hikes, special events, and more.

The video is two years old, but by all accounts, this unusual campground for dogs and their owners is still going strong!

“Interestingly enough, this place is kid-free.” I would prefer campgrounds that are dog free, and would pay extra.

What a great place. Some of the campsites are even fenced. I’ve stayed in dog camp areas and found them to be much quieter than camp areas with kids. I can’t wait to go here.

Thank you, Cheri! 🙂 This may be just the thing to tickle DW’s and dog #3’s fancies. 🙂 Thanks again and safe travels! 🙂
