Girl Scout Tacos

by Marybeth Mank from Mesquite, TX

Make these tacos in a Dutch oven or over an open stove if you’re camping. Either way, you’ll have a great meal. After the meat simmers with the beans and seasonings, it’s rich with a smoky flavor. The meat and bean mixture soaks into corn chips. Basically, they’re open-faced tacos everyone will love. Here’s the recipe.

Baked Sloppy Joe With Biscuits

by Sharon Freeze from Buffalo, NY

This is a fantastic rustic sloppy joe recipe. It’s super easy to make the sauce – in fact, you probably have the ingredients in your kitchen. Cooking the biscuits on top is genius. It’s wonderful to serve the sloppy joes with a big biscuit on top. As you cut into it with a fork, scoop up some of the sloppy joe, and eat it all together. It’s a tasty bite. We love the option of cooking over a campfire. An easy camping dinner option. Get the recipe here.

Grilled Peaches By Freda

by Freda Gable from Vancouver, WA

Grilled peaches have to be the best fruit to come off a grill. Freda’s recipe shakes things up by adding gingersnap cookies, brown sugar, butter, and cinnamon. It tastes almost like a grilled peach cobbler. It’s a fun grilling dessert that would be great for camping too. You can make several of the grilled peach packets and toss them on a grill for a party. Serve alone or with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for a delicious and easy dessert. Here’s the recipe.
