How’s this for a bizarre RV accident? Last Friday morning, October 3rd, two people were hospitalized after a fully loaded dump truck carrying asphalt lost control on a hill in rural Central Point, Oregon, crashing through a fence and slamming into an occupied RV before overturning.
According to Acting Battalion Chief Scott Downing of Jackson County Fire District 3, the dump truck was traveling downhill when the driver lost control.
The vehicle plowed through a fence and private property, narrowly missing several outbuildings before hitting the RV, separating the floor from the ECO travel trailer’s frame and tipping the frame onto its side.
Both the truck driver and the RV occupant who were living in the vehicle at the time were transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Authorities have not yet determined the cause of the crash. Downing said investigators are looking into whether a medical issue caused the driver to lose control, or if a medical emergency occurred as a result of the crash.

Thank you for the news, RV Travel! Well. I guess they need a stronger fence in the event that the RV is replaced and someone continues living in it. Have a great day and safe travels!
Probably a 3 foot thick reinforced concrete wall to stop an out of control fully loaded dump truck! 🙂

Man, what are the chances of that happening?
Hey honey, I’m home!
But wait, I am not sure exactly which vehicle they were living in at the time.
