Entering and securing your RV

Are all RV keys the same?

RV owners hear the same line: Every camper uses the same key. It sounds scary, and it keeps forums and Facebook groups spinning. Sadly, there is a lot of misinformation out there, so Nick Buchanan, a certified RV technician, breaks it all down in detail and shows what is true, what is half-true, and what really matters for RV security. Is your lock the same as that of other RVs? Find out here.

RV step lights

Light up your entry with light-up steps

These lights auto-activate at dusk, giving your entry steps a clean, illuminated glow, and more importantly, helping prevent slips, missteps, and nighttime injuries. Whether you’re coming back to camp late, walking in from the lake, or just letting the dogs out, lighting your steps is one of the easiest safety upgrades you can make. Keep this product on hand for easy RV underbelly repair
If road debris or a tire blowout has damaged the underside of your RV, you might be tempted to reach for duct tape—but it won’t hold for long. Most tapes don’t stick well to underbelly material, and repairs often don’t last. Instead, keep a roll of underbelly repair tape on hand; it’s designed specifically for RVs, with a strong, waterproof and permanent adhesive that seals rips and holes for good. Learn more about it here, or order a roll here.

Ref: The best socket set for RVs—ALWAYS carry one in truck or trailer!
I wouldn’t put it in my trailer. As my truck isn’t always with my trailer, but my trailer is always with my truck, I might need this for my truck when bob-tailing on an errand.

I bought the rv underbelly tape a while back. Cleaned where I was going to apply it and applied the tape. A few months when I checked out the repairs the tape was starting to separate at the edges. I also used gorilla tape to cover up the tape coming loose and think gorilla tape is equally as good or even better at sticking to the underbelly material.
