What is your favorite way to eat eggs?

Mmmm… eggs! Thanks, little chickens, for producing one of our favorite foods!

Do you like to eat eggs for breakfast? Do you eat them often, or just sometimes? Just on weekends? Just on special occasions or when you go out to breakfast?

If you do like eggs, what is your favorite way to eat them? Do you prefer hard-boiled eggs? Scrambled eggs? Fried eggs? Poached? There are so many ways to eat eggs!

And sure, you could say quiche, or egg bites, or deviled eggs (mmmm), but we’re just talking about pretty basic eggs here today. Nothing too fancy (because then the list would really be endless!).

After you vote, leave a comment and tell us about your egg-eating habits. What’s your favorite way to eat them? We can’t wait to read your comments, which we know are going to make us hungry.

This poll left out the most important response, specifically “With Bacon.”

Fiesta Omlet at Waffle House. Not on menu, you must ask for it.

Fried, over easy, as an omelette, scrambled and hard boiled. I like eggs many different ways. Don’t really have a favorite!

I said ‘Fried’ but I meant in the generic sense of cooked with oil or grease (butter is best) as opposed to boiled or steamed. My favorite is somewhat of a cross between scrambled and omelet and to a slightly lesser extent hard over (some separation of white and yolk). And I add a variety of meat, cheese, onions, mushrooms.or vegies depending on what’s at hand. Great way to use up leftovers!

Scrambled, omelette, frittata, quiche, or hard boiled (plain or pickled with beets) as long as it’s thoroughly cooked.

Fried over easy, or as a 3 egg Mexican omelet preferably of my own making.

I chose Fried. BUT, I want the yolk broken and completely fried hard. No gooey yellow for me!

I love eggs every way as long as they are fully cooked. RUNNY YOLKS ARE GROSS!

As long as someone else is making them…. Scotch Eggs.

Otherwise for a healthier choice, poached soft.

I picked fried but when camping we usually scramble them with crumbled cooked sausage (always have some precooked Jimmy Dean sausage in my freezer, home or camping) peppers, onion & mushrooms then put them in a pie iron using 2 flour tortillas for crust, add some cheese & cook over a hot fire. Yummy breakfast! Why does all food taste better when you are camping? 🙂

My wife and I got a mini egg cooker that steam-cooks eggs, and doesn’t take up much room in our camper’s cupboard. Depending on how much water you add to the bottom pan, you can do soft boiled, hard boiled, poached (it came with a divided “cup” that you can do two poached eggs in), or make custard or mini-omlettes in the non-divided cup. So far our favorite way to make them while camping is poached, on toast!

I like either a Western or Country omelet. We go out every Saturday morning for breakfast and which one I get depends upon where we go.

For Breakfast, fried medium with absolutely no runny white, in an omelet, or fully cooked on an open faced sandwich with ham, cheese, avocado mash and everything bagel seasoning. For lunch: egg salad
