Pay attention to passing motorists’ warnings of trouble
On the road, most of us have experienced looking out our window to see a car passing by with someone waving frantically, and pointing toward our vehicle or behind it. Most of the time these are Good Samaritans who have spotted something wrong with our vehicle or the one we’re towing. This message and the ensuing responses were posted at our RV Advice Group on Facebook and we believe are worth passing along.

Is this a good or a bad idea? Well, just like politics, folks lean hard one way or the other. While there certainly is a time and place for using EternaBond® tape (e.g., to use it as a patch), I have multiple reasons why you shouldn’t use it to cover all the seams on your RV roof.

Check roof vents in case of stinky holding tanks
Stinky holding tanks driving you bats? It’s smart to occasionally check your roof vents to make sure they aren’t blocked with debris, bird nests, etc. Many RVers find vent caps such as the 360 Siphon roof vent to help “raise the stink” out of the tanks are really helpful.

Chili Cheese Burritos

These chili cheese burritos are comfort food all the way. They remind us of burritos you can get at a Mexican fast-food restaurant. The ground beef is full of taco seasoning flavor and stuffed inside flour tortillas. Then, they’re smothered in chili and cheese and baked until the cheese is nice and gooey. Kids will love these!

Is it just me, or are a lot of the articles repeat articles from the past?. Maybe from the archives? I’ve been a member for years and have been noticing numerous articles from the past. Maybe that’s a good thing for all the new RV’ers joining RVT?!
Maybe you should write a new one for them.
If so and IMHO yes, great for any newbies. If not I would categorize it as a first world problem 😊
My logical, deductive guess of 540 peanuts turned out to be spot on, even though my childhood was complicated. I didn’t like peanut butter or chocolate ice cream. Over the years, good therapist have helped me learn to enjoy a Reese’s cup and chocolate ice cream, if vanilla’s not available. Sadly though, not knowing that 10% of a jar of peanut butter is not peanut butter will keep me up at night and double my weekly therapist visits. Oh the humanity!

“Don’t buy a portable generator”. Sorry Chuck, et al. This latest RV Travel endorsed product doesn’t cut the mustard. $749 for 1,000 watts. It doesn’t reduce carbon emissions as I have to use my tow vehicle’s engine to produce the 1,000 watts. I do save roughly 30 pounds of cargo over my 1,800 watt dual fuel portable generator. period. And I bought my quiet portable generator for about $400. I can do a lot with that extra 800 watts.
Jim, it has its disadvantages, but it has many advantages, too. I believe it does “cut the mustard.” Thanks for weighing in.
Don’t want to be a debbie downer but if someone is waving me down? I would drive straight to the rest stop and look or call the police. Most times it might be a good samaritan? Most times it is rob you blind. Seriously. Call the police and ask. Most times in this day and age? Worse case scenario. I just read that somewhere in Ohio a single person was abducted at a gas station. Scary times we live in.
