On this day in history: 1942 – The completion of the Alaska Highway (also known as the Alcan [Alaska-Canadian] Highway) is celebrated. However, the highway is not usable by standard road vehicles until 1943.

Recalls of any product can be a pain in the neck as well as a pain in the pocketbook. Yet to RV travelers, these notifications are also an important warning that your travels, and even your life, might be in danger.
It’s always good to know that the product is defective before you find out the hard way. It’s also a nuisance that takes a bite out of your RV timetable. If you’re lucky, you get an email or letter telling you that something you own has been recalled. If you’re diligent, you check for recall information on a regular basis of your choice and learn of recalls that might apply to you. What comes next can be a real headache… Continue reading.

Make daily tire pressure reading easier
With the daily variation in ambient temperature and the long-term slow loss of pressure all tires experience, it’s important to check your tire pressure every travel day. However, this isn’t a fun activity. Get dressed, find the gauge, go out and get down on your knees (maybe in the rain), etc. This can become a chore. You can save yourself this minor aggravation by simply turning on your Tire Pressure Monitor System (TPMS) first thing. You can do this even while in your jammies.
After you have your morning coffee, simply review the pressure for all your tires from the comfort of the RV. Many TPMS monitors have a “morning re-set” feature that displays 0 psi until each tire sensor has sent a new pressure reading, so as soon as you have a reading, you know that is your current pressure and not the reading from yesterday. —Tip from Tire Engineer Roger Marble, RVtravel.com and RVTireSafety.net.

In the early 20th century, the combination of sweet potatoes and marshmallows gained popularity, thanks in part to clever marketing by companies like the Angelus Marshmallow Company. They promoted marshmallows as an ingredient to enhance various dishes, including sweet potatoes. This coincided with the rising popularity of sweet potatoes in the U.S., and the sweet and indulgent mix quickly became a Thanksgiving tradition. The classic sweet potato casserole with marshmallow topping has since become a beloved dish on many Thanksgiving tables.

I’m sorry but if I pulled into my campsite and saw those three looking out the window of the RV in the next site, I’d ask for relocation rather that waiting for them to start barking every time I passed the window.
Thank you. Plus sitting on the table where they eat? I like dogs just hate irresponsible owners and i would guess about 1/2 of pet owners are.
They do not get on the table. They like the top of the couch to watch out the window.

Like children who scream, run thru my site and generally misbehave; dogs will misbehave because their human companions allow it to happen. Train your dogs like you should “train” your children. Your job as a “parent” is to raise socially well adjusted, productive members of this society; not be their friend or buddy- their “PARENT” then their friend. It is a “personal responsibility” of yours- not mine.

RVTravel prints pictures of pets. There are three pets lined up to have their picture taken. All of a sudden, they are accused of barking, their owners not trained, parents not raising their children properly and the dogs sitting on the dining room table? What the hockey sticks is going on people? My mom told me: “If you can’t say anything nice ………. IT IS A PICTURE of dogs looking out a window!!!

Curmudgeons. People who don’t like dogs are not my kind of people. I’d love to camp next to Dave Thomas, anytime. Most dogs are better behaved than most kids; in both cases of misbehavior, that’s the fault of the owner/parent.
Just post a picture of your pets and you too can be psychoanalyzed as an individual.
Since 78% of RVers enjoy taking their precious pets with them, I think we all need to recognize they are part of their families. So many of the RVs have dual glaze windows and are very quiet outside, It should not be a concern.
Good looking crew there David! They look happy, healthy and well loved. I’d enjoy you parking next to me just so I can see ‘em grin! Nice picture!
