How to keep your kitchen cabinets looking brand-new

Keeping wood cabinets looking good in an RV is one of those small wins that makes the whole rig feel cleaner and, well, just nicer.
Grease, fingerprints, and road dust hide in grooves and around cabinet pulls. The following tips will help you remove that grimy buildup. They can also protect your RV’s cabinets’ finish and avoid any water damage. Here are my tips for keeping them looking like new.

What to know about RV floor replacement
Whether your RV floor has a leak or a stain, or you simply want to update the look of your unit, replacing your flooring can be a costly option. Our shop does RV floor replacement, but 95 percent of the time, it’s because a catastrophic event occurred and insurance is footing the bill. This is also my warning for consumers who are shopping for a used unit.
Spin-scrubbing brush cleans RVs inside and out
Cheri Sicard writes, “The spinning scrubber brush makes cleaning my RV so much easier. I especially love the pointed brush as it gets into the cracks and crevices around the edges of the floor where dirt ALWAYS accumulates. Have hot water handy all day in RV while conserving LP
From Claudia T. in our comments: “When we use our Keurig for morning coffee (electric hookup or generator), I make extra hot water and fill a carafe so I have hot water for washing dishes or washing my face without need to use the propane water heater.” Thanks, Claudia!
That reminds us of this tip from RVer Bill H. awhile back. He conserves LP, but still keeps hot water available. He found a large coffee urn (45 cups or so) at a yard sale. He keeps it on his galley counter when hitched to shore power. Bill says it’s plenty to keep the dishes clean and for the occasional cup of tea or noodles. He plugs it in first thing in the morning, keeps it topped off throughout the day, and shuts it down at night. Thank you, Bill!

She isn’t crazy about travel days, but once we get parked, she is ready to investigate the campground. She loves lying in the sun and going on very frequent dog walks. There is no limit on how many dog walks a day; she is always ready to go anywhere, anytime. Hannah graciously allows us to share the couch, where she has a reserved spot.” —Michael Hayes

Just a comment about the laugh of the day. No non-commissioned member of the army would allow a private to call him “sir.” Sir is how commissioned officers are addressed. The typical non-com would respond by saying “Don’t call me sir; I work for a living!” The laugh is however, funny.
Laugh of the day reminds me of an old Canadian army buddy who got called out during an inspection where he did not have his name tag.
He told his superior “Sir, I read it, memorized it, and threw it away.”
He got away with it during the inspection, but paid for it later.
Gosh, I wish I had thought of that line when I needed It.

Catalina State Park is $50.00 a night now and they also charge $15.00 a night for an extra vehicle.
Hot water for dishes…….I heat it in the microwave when needed.
Just to add something to the hot water topic: In case you also turn your water heater off, remind yourself of that in some way so you don’t step into the shower for a cold one. I only made that mistake once.

Pertaining to the turn signal issue. Too many drivers will put it on to change lanes and forget(?) to turn it off. The tone should be loud enough to totally annoy the driver.
Or, like my Goldwing motorcycle, only cycle for about 10 seconds and then shut off.
My truck has the chime reminder, but also feature that if you only bump the switch, it blinks 4 times and turns off.
While I realize that Newell coaches are really nice but a 6 year old for $1.6M appears to be overpriced….
