Stupid is stupid is stupid… is stupid! And that includes this RVer

This RVer attempted to get some cash by driving up to a bank’s drive-through ATM machine. Or maybe he just cut a corner after leaving a bank. I feel sorry for the RVer. Whatever the intent, you can see that it didn’t work out! What a crummy way to ruin an RV trip.

But more than feeling sorry, I am flabbergasted that the driver could be so stupid to do such a stupid thing. Why would someone even attempt to drive under an awning without being 100 percent sure that the RV would fit.

Well, as you can see, it did not fit. And so the building’s roof will need to be repaired ($$$) and the travel trailer will need to be repaired ($$$), and the driver will pay at least a chunk of that, the amount dependent on what his insurance company will kick in. And then the insurance company will raise his/her rates to the RVer, so the costs will keep on going just like the Energizer Bunny.

And I’m pretty darn sure that the driver of the RV and his passengers were pretty upset over the incident. I bet the driver got an earful! If the driver and gang managed to continue on to their camping destination, or back home, I’ll bet it was not a most-excellent time.

We have posted far too many photos like this through the years. Here’s one, a video. Come on! Be smart! Don’t do something stupid like this. Geeeez!

That roof was never very sturdy if it fell like that

In the 1989 Loma Prieta earthquake, several gas station roofs collapsed just like this one did at the bank.

Our very 1st trip towing a small travel trailer was during COVID. We had decided to park our large trailer semi-stationary at a park and migrate with a small rig. Fast food was drive through only. My spouse asked why I was parking? I had to remind her about the height of even a small trailer. One trial learning without an incident. It was the pits walking between cars in the drive through lane – especially in the rain.
