Winnebago Industries, Inc. (Winnebago) is recalling certain 2024-2025 EKKO recreational vehicles. The inner wheel tire valve extension may be damaged through contact with the outer wheels, causing the inner tire to lose air pressure and overload the outer tire. Overloading may cause the outer tire to fail, increasing the risk of a crash. 655 RVs are being recalled for this problem.

Background
In late March 2025, Winnebago’s Service and Quality Teams spotted a problem with tire valve extensions that came from a dealer parts order. An investigation was begun to look into the issue. After reviewing the findings, the Product Safety Committee met on July 28, 2025, and decided to move forward with a recall.
So far, Winnebago has received 12 reports related to this problem. However, no injuries or property damage have been reported.

Thank you, Russ and Tina, for the news! Seems committees clearly were involved because it took from March to the end of July to go from learning there is a problem to deciding to fix it. Then another 7 weeks to snail mail notices of the recall!?! Must be a better, faster way to find and fix problems. Have a great day and safe travels!
As the saying goes: A camel is a horse that a committee built. (I mean no disrespect to camels, however.)
