8 tips for using hairspray when RVing. It’s not just for hair!

Yes, some of us bring hairspray along when RVing but not always just to keep stray hairs in place. There are several uses for hairspray in your RV. And there’s no need for the expensive salon variety—the dollar store version is cheaper and works fine for these tasks.
Remove the goo
Remove sticky goo left over from tags and labels. The alcohol in hairspray can help break it down to wipe it away. Wait for a few minutes before wiping it to allow time to dissolve.
Loose screws
Loose screws? It’s an RV! Of course there are loose screws! Spray the screw with hairspray, tighten, then coat the head with a thin layer of hairspray.

Chalking running down RV’s sidewall plus decals fading. What can I do?
Dear Dave,
My 2002 Montana is an old guy, but very solid with a Go Power! Elite package and an onboard generator. I am a camp host during the summer and it has served me well for 8 years. I live in southern New Mexico, so the high desert sun in the winter has taken its toll on the decals. When it rains, chalky residue washes off of the roof. Since a new roof has been estimated at $3,500, I’m wondering if there is anything that I can do to extend the life of the roof. Thanks for your advice. —Mark, 2002 Montana 2880RL

Keep your RV’s keyholes clear
Some bugs like to lay eggs in little spots—like in the keyholes of locks on RV storage compartments. Once in there, the stuff’s like glue. If your locks are steel, get small disc magnets from the hardware store and “stick” one over each lock.

You know what I find annoying? People constantly complaining about the pop up ads when the solution has been explained in the comments every day for the last month. Since you’ve seen what others have been complaining about, you had to have also seen the solution to keep the pop up ads from happening! C’mon Man!

Laugh of the day: I tried to laugh but it hurt too much.
Hair spray for loose screws: … And women put it on their head every day? I may start using it on my bald head.
I have no idea what I am doing with 3 bags of spinach but figure this might be a great way to unload a freezer. I take my rescue dogs with me everywhere I go. Except one who had no clue on her first camping trip and well, did not like it but dealt with it. Once home? It was cozy sofa for her. I also thru an email have the original sugar cookie recipe from the girl scouts when they first started baking their cookies for a fund raiser. I love sugar cookies but its the dough that I end up eating before baking. O yummy. Spinach and cookie dough.
