When the folks at Ugreen first pitched me on their 145W portable power bank, I was not initially interested. My reasoning was, I already had several portable power stations and I did not really need a small power bank. And I reasoned most RVers likely do not either.
Through a communications mix-up I won’t bore you with, one was sent to me anyway.
It turned out, I was right. I did not actually NEED this product. However, I discovered after using it for a while, there are a whole lot of reasons to WANT one, and I was happy to have it.
It’s just so darn convenient to charge my phone, laptop, electric drinking water bottle pump, USB lanterns, and other small devices using the portable power bank. This leaves the power in my portable power stations free for larger tasks, like an Instant Pot or small space heater.
Beyond that, the small size of the powerful portable power bank makes it easy to take along. I could see this being especially useful for hikers and bikers and anyone who likes to go out exploring. Go, have fun, and know that you can always recharge your phone or other devices even if you have been running the battery down taking lots of videos and photos.
Lastly, the extra power reserve makes an excellent safety precaution, especially for those who venture far off grid. Even if you consider yourself well-powered with solar and/or generators, things can and do go wrong. If everything else fails, this small device gives you the power to recharge communication devices so you can get help.
What I especially like about the Ugreen 145W portable power bank
- Its small size fits in purses, backpacks, or even large hoody pockets.
- You can simultaneously charge the portable power bank while charging your devices.
- Simultaneously charges phones, tablets, and laptops. You can have a total of 145 watts of power going out at any one time
- Like my Ugreen portable power station, this portable power bank charges FAST! Both to recharge the power bank itself and the rate at which it powers devices. About 2 hours for a Mac Book Air from 0 to 100%.
- With 25000mAH, it stores a lot of power, meaning, depending on the device you are charging, you can use the power bank multiple times before having to recharge it (see graphic above).
- It feels sturdy and solidly built.
- Airline friendly.
What can be improved?
Honestly, nothing. This device is small, powerful, and easy to use.

Thank you, Cheri! I have had one, but not this brand, for 5 or 6 years. I bought it to recharge my phone and DW’s phone when we went to football games and were away from our chargers for several hours. Of course, I quickly learned that there were charging stations at various places inside the stadium, so we only took it inside once. However, as you note, it is a great insurance policy, ensuring ones ability to charge phones. Ours stays in our RV and I periodically discharge and recharge it.
Too expensive! The Ugreen is actually a 25000mAh Portable Charger, according to the Amazon link at $89.99. My power block that has the same charging features is a 30,800 mAH for only $29.65. We have two and the one is still running after I’m surprised this Ugreen model is recommended.
