You need a jump starter… seriously!
By Tony Barthel
You should have a portable jump starter. Seriously. But why, you ask? Many reasons. I have had a portable jump start device that lives in my truck for years. The most obvious reason to have one is to jump start a vehicle with a dead or weak battery. But it can serve a lot of other purposes, as well. Learn more here.

Why RV stabilizer extensions matter more than you think
By Russ and Tiña De Maris
When it comes to RV stabilizers, there’s a common thread among many RVers: The less you crank them down, the more stable they are. You’ve probably driven through campgrounds and seen how much blocking people stuff under their stabilizers—only to crank them down an inch or two. Good idea? Not according to physics. RV stabilizers have a sweet spot: Crank them down too little, or too much, and they don’t do their job. Learn more here.
Wiring tester assures trailer lights are working
By Dustin Simpson
Part of towing your RV responsibly is making sure your trailer lights are working properly. “Why are my running lights or brake lights not working on my travel trailer or fifth wheel?” We have all been there and asked that question one time or another, which is why you should have a tow vehicle wiring tester with you when out traveling. This tester may not solve all of your issues, but it can definitely help you pinpoint some of the basic problems you may encounter while towing. Check out what this gadget can do for you.

New and improved Dump Buddy is a must-have gadget for RV dumping
Don’t miss Tony Barthel’s updated review of the new and improved Dump Buddy. What’s a Dump Buddy? It’s essentially a plastic collar that goes around a sewer pipe in the ground and then another one that goes around your sewer hose elbow. You simply use the knob to tighten the collar around the sewer pipe and then flip up the second collar and tighten that around the sewer hose. Read Tony’s review here or order on Amazon.

RE: Sewer hose wrenches are handy when you need them – but if you also buy plumber’s silicone faucet grease and keep the rubber rings between sewer piping sections lubricated, you may rarely need those wrenches.
Thank you for mentioning the sewer hose wrenches, Cheri! I bought them several months ago as precautionary insurance. The other day I finally used them. They worked and did not break despite the force I transmitted through them. They don’t look all that sturdy because they are plastic, but they are sturdy. Have a great weekend and safe travels!
