Today’s thought
“Too many of us are hung up on what we don’t have, can’t have, or won’t ever have. We spend too much energy being down, when we could use that same energy – if not less of it – doing, or at least trying to do, some of the things we really want to do.” ―
Need an excuse to celebrate? Today is National Pet Day! It’s also National Cheese Fondue Day, so we think you should celebrate by making cheese fondue and giving your pet a teeny tiny taste to celebrate both at once. 😉

How to clean your RV’s TV screen and remote control without damaging it
By Gail Marsh
OK, I’ll admit it. I’m a little afraid to clean it because we depend on it for weather reports and occasionally to see what’s happening in our world. I’m talking about our RV’s television, of course. I noticed shortly after a visit from our young grandchildren that I really needed to clean the RV’s TV screen and its remote.
I didn’t realize how dirty our TV screen had become until one morning last week. I had all of the window shades up with the windows fully open and I happened to glance at our television screen as I walked past. The TV was turned off at the time, so the screen display was dark.
As I stepped back from the television, the bright light shining through the windows caused a glaring reflection on the screen. This reflection clearly revealed an army of little fingerprints marching across the lower half of the television screen.
Ask Dave
I may purchase a 2007 gas pusher motorhome. Should I worry about it overheating?
Dear Dave,
We are looking at going from a 5th wheel to a Class A. I am looking at an 8.1L gas pusher in a 2007 Forest River Georgetown 391SE. (They were possibly made in other years besides 2007.) I am wondering if you could comment on these? Were they a UFO [Universal Fuel Option]? Many thanks. —Ed, 2007 Forest River Georgetown 391SE

Half of RVers feel lonely. Here’s what to do about it
By Gail Marsh
Many people go RVing to get away from the stress of everyday life. They long for solitude and quiet. They revel in the open expanse that Mother Nature provides in her isolated, off-the-beaten-path spaces. And then, there’s Lindsey. Lindsey recently lost her husband to cancer. They’d been married for less than four years. No children. Just Lindsey. Continue reading for great tips to fight loneliness anytime, anywhere.

Quick Tip
“Reusing” a bumper sticker
Want to remove a bumper sticker and then use it again later? Use a heat gun to gently heat up the sticker, pull it loose, and “stick it” on a piece of wax paper. When you’re ready to reuse it, pull it off the paper and slap it back on the bumper.

Recipe of the Day
Bruschetta & Cheese
by Bobbi Gulla from Philadelphia, PA
This twist on bruschetta is delicious when summer tomatoes are abundant. Adding finely grated cheese to the tomatoes creates another layer of texture and flavor. It reminds us of a Caprese salad. The ripe tomatoes are almost sweet. Diced onion adds a little bite. Peppery fresh basil is the perfect complement. Everything is tossed with olive oil and red wine vinegar. Prepare this bruschetta and cheese as an appetizer or a light lunch in warmer months.
Trivia
7-Eleven operates, franchises and/or licenses more than 13,000 convenience stores in the United States and Canada. It sells the most coffee from its stores on Long Island, NY.

7-Eleven in New York also has fresh Buttered Rolls to go with that coffee. Yummy
I do not believe that people were friendlier before the internet. I do, however, believe that they were able to hide that fact better, prior to the internet!
Lola seems to love her stuffies
This has nothing to do with anything but I would sure like to see a list or directory of RV parks that have a bar/restaurant on site. Thanks!
I doubt that very many have full service restaurants. We are traveling to Florida next month and all three campgrounds we are staying at have Pizza shops and two have wine and beer bars. Not much help to you though. Most campgrounds operate on a seasonal basis, so keeping a restaurant open in the off season doesn’t make financial sense. And closing it for 5-6 months would mean having a part time staff.
“Leave here with a laugh”. The person who thought of this trap had better get this idea patented quickly. Because they are going to make millions $$$$….Lol 🤣
Laugh of the day definitely applies to Alaskan mosquitoes.
Ahh, Fondue, the only meal you can starve to death while eating.
Thank you, Emily and Diane! 😉 I really enjoyed the today’s funny; it truly was … funny. 🙂 Thanks again and safe travels! 🙂
Lola is such an absolutely beautiful and sweet dog 🐶
If you don’t have internet, how will you find parts for your RV? Same with nice parks, scenic places to go and see, highways with bad roads and ruts. there is a lot more to find on the internet then you can imagine.
Of course, 7-11 sells the most coffee on Long Island. It is the Home of Long Island Tea.
thank you for website of the day!!!! i found a gem in Northern Cali!
